Epoxy Question

My chronics are full of chips and delammed top sheets after this season, what kind of epoxy should I get, and where is a good place to find it?

I want to be able to fix my own skis, don't want to take it to the shop and get charged for a simple epoxy job :p

ok o i have epoxied the tip of my ski twice this year. the first time was with this epoxy that was in a syringe type thing with two nozzles. one had blue stuff in it and the other had like a mild orange or something. this stuff worked really well until i slapped my tips on a freezing ice coast day. the other kind was in the same syringe type thing and both sides were clear. this didnt even last a day. i used it on the delam and topsheet chipping and it did absolutley nothing. both times i epoxied my skis i left them over night

sparknotes: buy the stuff thats two different colors or something a lot stronger other wise it will not last

There are lots of epoxy solutions out there that will work for some degree of time. I believe the problem with epoxy is #1 it is not meant to be flexed #2 some are not meant to get wet.

The key to doing a good repair with this stuff is a good bond, i.e. epoxy to the ski. Whatever surface you are trying to repair needs to be prepped before applying.

Fuck I just realized I was rambling and didn't answer what you asked haha.

Go to ACE Hardware or any store like that and they should get you sorted.

similar question. I have a couple of inch long sections of edge that are gone, and i just put epoxy in it instead of replacing the edge? will it slide easier on rails?

not sure where to find the epoxy but what you want to do is put it on in a warm room not a cold garage or something like that because it needs some heat while drying and keep it in that same room for at least 24 hours and also if you are epoxying your something back on if it came off make sure you use a clamp to hold it down tight
