hey, just got a brand spankin new pair of EP pros and i wanted to know where you people thought the best mounting point would be on these badboys

ummm how often u plan to ski switch? how much of da switching landing stuff u wanna do? are deez goin to be strictley for pow pow or u plan to fuck around on hard pack too?

ding ding, You will not be spinning that much with those skis anyway, so you should not be to worried about swing weight. Also think about how you ski, you ski on the ball of your foot, if you ski flat footed you will end up in the back seat. full center puts the ball of your foot way out in front of the side cut. going two cm back still gives you plenty of tail for switch pow, but also keeps you from being out infront of the ski.

thats what i was thinking from the begining. when you say center i imagine youre talking about the measured center right?

I was wondering the same thing so I emailed LINE and they said Pollard rides his at -2 from center... right at the midsole mark. So that is where I mounted mine.

"Looks" can be deceiving. Measure it out to make sure midsole is 2cm back from center, and if it is not then tell your shop that you want them mounted at -2cm from center and they will take care of it. If you want some more reassurrance go to LINE's website and look at the EP Pro specs, it says the "stance back from center" is 20mm.

recommended. Think about it, you'll be skiing a ski the way it was meant to feel, i guarantee it isn't more than 5 cm back from real center, and it will be much better in powder.

does salomon make a jig for something this large ....what about taking the rubber guards off the feet of the jig....anyone with knowledge about this or mounting my lab916's to these ep's

I had mine mounted with Jesters and even with the rubber feet off of the jig, it still wasn't wide enough. So I ended up helping two techs free hand them. Kind of a scary situation to watch, but it turned out alright.

The new solly jigs MIGHT go that wide, but I kinda doubt it.

I mount all my own stuff, so what I've done it made a template out of plexiglass and just lay that up on the ski, center it...and drill 'em.

mount em' up at recommended, and also I dont believe the jig will get you there. Go to a shop you trust, or measure up the hole pattern and make a jig for yourself (if you're that into mounting yourself)
