ENOUGH WITH THE OUTERWEAR THREADS

they are getting way to out of hand. Every day some new newb makes a new thread asking what size saga to get, or if first drop is cool, its getting fucking annoying. Why can't you retarded 15 year olds use the search bar or go to a company site and look at a size chart, hell, i'll even link them for you

now if you feel the need to make a thread asking "oh im 5'8" and want xl saga, how will it fit" go ask your dad where his tape measure is, and compare the size to your current gear, or searchbar because i guarantee someone your exact hight has made a thread before you. What ever happened to when GT was a place filled with reviews of skis or solid questions about hard goods, not pages of shitty threads on trend whorish brands that you all freak out over.

Thomas you own saga and just bought tight pants, you can't really complain about trend whores

Gear Talk sucks so bad now. I vaguely remember what it was like with info about skis and other hardgoods.

Yea, isnt it like this, this time of the year, every year? Im sure there will be a million jiberish threads when the new jiberish line comes out

1. i bought fitted pants, which i wore during the 07/08, 08/09 season, so its not like im buying something new, and they are not tight like yours, just fitted

2. i dont own saga anymore

hahaah. 17 is that age where you think you're getting old and like an adult. but then you get to 18 look at a 17 year old and realise how young he is. and this cycle repeats throughout life.

ps. can't wait for when people starting buying new planks and its all "2010 alpha 1 vs halo vs moment jib vs afterbang" or "177 or 180, i'm about to hit my growth spurt!"

thank you, i dont know whats worse the constant SAGA sizing threads in GT or the downward spiral NSG takes ever summer

is there anyways i can get:

a g-suit jacket combined with a LDC jacket combined with a saga jacket combined with a first drop jacket combined with a jiberish hoodie? if so what size should i get? im 5'8 and 160 pounds. If someone holds my penis im only 145 pounds though.

also where can i find some custom full tilt boots because i looked at pictures and they look like they would fit my feet the best.

You don't have to wait any longer.Because I'm wondering.Alpha 1 or Halo?Somebody says alpha 1 is best and halo is a cheaper made and stiffer ski?

Thank you for making this thread!!! Gear Talk used to be the shit and the place to learn about ski equipment, how to maintain it and read actual good reviews. Gear Talk is absolutely terrible now. I click on it whenever I come on NS and I always get pissed about the endless nonsense threads. 90% of the questions in here could be answered on your own by going to a companies website or by making a decision yourself; you don't need the entire ski communities feedback on every purchase you make. Think for yourself a little bit and create your own style. Read specs on equipment and use your head.
Oh and I don't think this is a case of summer NS syndrome. Gear Talk has been dying a slow death for about a year now especially as outerwear has become more and more important.
Thanks again for starting this thread. +K

I understand your rant, but after checking the websites and sizing charts, I found the input in all of the threads helpful

Everyone is built differently hence the personal threads people make asking for other peoples input. Therefore I commend this thread, unnecessary.

Sorry Thomas.

show me a thread where someone explains their body type(broad shoulders/long arms/ect), no one puts that info in, only their hight and rarely their weight. Therefore, I consider your post pointless and retarded

Make a sticky then suggesting before people just say they are for example 5'8 and 145 they put down how wide there shoulders are, how long there arms are, legs, and ect.

Personally, I have no problem with threads about sizing, etc. If it's a thread about how 'cool' something is, then I do have a problem.

But buying outerwear is a big investment for most kids. There are many people who will work all year round so that when new Saga or First Drop comes out, they can buy it. And I don't blame them for wanting to make sure that what they buy is right for them.

Your comment about getting a tape measure is fair enough, but it's a lot easier to ask a community of people with that specific knowledge how it fits.

And many of the sizings don't do the outerwear justice. The same jacket won't fit a broad-shouldered person in the same way as a narrow-shoulder person, for example, and often, specific questions like that can't be found in the searchbar.

Hia, I'm 3' 5" and am thinking about getting XLT First Drop. I want it to go right above my knee. I went to the size chart, but I can't read yet so maybe you guize can answer this for me.++++++++k to whoever gives me cool ansers. Also, which Saga will match my Jiberish?Tanks!
