English Premier League 2014-2015

^They're never going to sell Alonso, at least I don't think so. Too old to get a good price especially when you consider what he means to the club as a whole. Agreed in the Rodriguez buy. Pretty much a he's the hottest name right now let's go get him buy. Don't get me wrong he is fantastic and will continue to improve, but they didn't remotely need him. I'm going to be so pissed if Modric ever consistently gets pushed out of the squad. Curious as to who you guys would have as the three Madrid mifielders from the current selection. I think I would have to go with Modric, Kroos, Khedira. I think Isco needs to get out. He's the one player I really feel like is getting fucked over the most in this.

If the right offer came, I would hope they would. He is a step slower now, and that is not good for your CDM. Rumors are always swirling that he may return to Liverpool or the EPL.

Modric will not get pushed out on a consistent basis. The 3 CMs will be Kroos Alonso Modric in a triangle formation with Kroos and Alonso taking the wing positions behind Modric.

Khedira is as good as gone unfortunately, he does not want to sign a new contract which is a complete and utter shame. He linked up well with Kroos at the WC.

Isco said he will try to fight for time, and I think he will get some time. Hopefully he is loaned out rather than sold.

Modric definitely has a consistent starting spot. I'd say he's currently their second best player after Ronaldo. He's too creative and consistent for them to take him out.

Khedira is definitely gone. Isco could get playing time with La Liga, Copa and CL games but not as much as he deserves.

Man United could be down a dark and dangerous path if they do not start to win and buy class players. Rojo and Herra will not cut it.

Milan now is a glimpse into United's future if they don't turn this sinking ship around quickly.

If Benatia goes to Bayern, I'm going to be so pissed. Fuck Bayern so sick of their transfer moves. Still waiting on them to buy Draxler one day because well he's good, promising, German, and from a team within the league.

I'm right there with you. I'll off myself if Draxler goes to Bayern.

Thats never a guarantee...the same could be said for Di Maria and look how he ended up.

Milan is what Manchester United could be, you are right.

Am I the only one underwhelmed by Chelsea so far? Sure, they have 6 points from their first two games, but they have been lucky their opponents have not finished their chances/Courtois is so good. They cannot make those mistakes against Man City, Liverpool, or Arsenal.

Di maria had a great season but he's not as consistent as Modric. It definitely could happen that he's benched though.

I would say none of the top 4 have looked totally convincing. Arsenal tied today, City played well against Newcastle but had a run for their money. Liverpool have not been perfect. Chelsea pretty much dominated Burnley the second half and own easily. Today wasn't as good. The title race is very open.

actually though all the top teams have looked pretty poor. i was very worried about arsenal coming into this game. their mid week performance was pathetic, opening day wasnt very convincing. again i really think giroud should be starting, sanchez made some great runs but the mid field was never able to find him and they got so stagnant on the ball. none of that movement and one touch magic they had early last year.

the saga of kheidera continues, ancelotti has said he doesnt care where he ends up, and chelsea currently has too many foreign players on the roster. cmon wenger 12mm is measly for kheidera and with arteta out this would lock down the mid. flamini is not the answer.

Everton are one of those teams that you go in thinking you'll win, but you're never too disappointed to come out with a draw. And sometimes you're pretty damn thankful for it.

it's like their season. They always have almost what it takes, but just not quite enough.

*sigh* even as a very inexperienced Everton fan, I can already tell this is true.

di maria to man u set? iv seen reports of 68.9m agreed fee... no solid confirmations yet though

Yep seems real close. Roughly 100m USD. He's good but he's not worth that.

No way is 1 Benzema worth 3 Balotellis.

Anyway, good result for us tonight. Didn't get to watch it, but I'm looking forward to the highlights. Good to see Jovetic in the team and scoring finally, I really wanted to see more of him last year but he kept getting injured.

So football is high fashion now? But who cares, DRAGONS!!!!

So giroud is out for 3 months potentially... Wonder if Wenger will sign anyone. Welbeck has been told he can leave, falcao is semi available, Remy. I don't think Campbell is ready to start up top. Lots of other ligue 1 forwards.

man u swiping all the good players left

Wenger just buy Remy dammit, he'd fit perfectly. Or even try and fight for Jackson Martinez, he looked real good against Lille yesterday.

If Wenger doesn't buy someone arsenal will fall out of the top 4 IMO. Its ridiculous if you think Joel Campbell or sanogo can play an EPL season as striker. Sanchez needs more help than he got against Everton if they expect to play him

If anyone is watching this arsenal game the ref is absolutely blowing it. Two of the worst back to back calls I have ever seen.

He needs a strong midfielder (e.g Khedira) and a striker (Remy) to reasonably compete. Ideally a central defender to replace Vermaalen too. He might get 1 of the 3 but never all 3.

Worst thing about tonight's result is Sanchez scored and now Wenger will think he doesn't need a striker.

Khedira is staying at Madrid, and may even sign an extension if the rumors of Xabi to Bayern are true.

can we talk about man u and how awful they are?

di maria is a HUGE piece that they need, but i don't know how much it will help

i mean id say there defensive woes are more important than spending 67 mill on another attacking player. he is world class though, definitely a good signing but im wary about the price tag and if that is really what they need to get into champions league and make some of that money back..

they really did spend too much, but you have to do something when you've got rooney and van persie dicking around up top with no service

I know, I just meant someone like that. Pretty big and strong but with enough skill to fit in the system.

Agreed. Unfortunately, those types of players are at a premium these days.

Torres out remy in it seems

Yep:
http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/28994304

and seriously Wenger! I have a ton of respect for his playing style, I love watching Arsenal play and it's why I support them (aside from living next door to Emirates) but he has completely lost touch with the transfer market. He needs a striker and a midfielder. One of the better premier league strikers is sitting at QPR with an 8.5m release clause and he has first option on one of the best midfielders in the game and he lets both go to chelsea!

Alex Song to West Ham on loan. What the fuck. Why didn't a good team try to pick him up?

And Blind to United it seems.

Man City lost. Awesome

But if you are not watching the Everton-Chelsea match, holy hell.

5-3 Chelsea in the 77th so far.

Went to take a pretty long shit/get some water at 3-1 came back 5-3.

Rabiot to Roma. Great pick up for Roma. He's going to be very good in a couple year I think.
