13211672:Chunter said:Really fun to watch as Bayern goes on to win every game by 4 goals. That league is disgustingly uncompetitive and its almost all Bayern's fault.

13211784:TheSteezyKoala said:Really? The bundesliga isn't competitive? Apart from Bayern, that is one of the most competitive leagues in Europe. Dortmund, are doing fantastically CL, yet were at the bottom of the table before today's game. This is the second best squad in that league yet they are just above the relegation zone. It's almost impossible for them to keep CL unless they actually win it or get something like 2.6 points on average from the remaining games. It sucks because I want them to do well and cement themselves in European football and keep Reus. If they don't get CL, I don't see him staying. 3 of the CL spots are completely up for grabs. It's about as competitive as the EPL with one clear winner, and the CL spots up for grabs.
As for EPL, all the big teams bar Chelsea and United dropped points this week. Sanchez is the only bright spot for Arsenal. Aguero for city, yet they aren't doing that bad apart from the last two fixtures. Liverpool has no bright spot other than the return of Sturridge. AS a Chelsea fan, I am happy.

13213219:shibby said:i doubt anyone here watches enough of either league to say which is more competitive overall but one thing is sure, the bundesliga title race is a farce. i also really doubt that the quality of that league is better, way more money in the premier league, more big name players.
13213306:fujarome said:and yet somehow the title always comes down to 2 or 3 teams who have spent a billion pounds to win it...
13213886:Chunter said:I'm hoping so much someone like Southampton sneaks into CL or even Europa. They are amazingly self-sustaining, always produce great players and still have played fantastic even after getting their entire team bought by the bigger clubs. How can you not like them?

13213339:PowPirate said:you just don't get that in other leagues.
13214077:Watts said:Maybe, but the small-name players in England are much, much worse than the small-name players in the Bundesliga, and most of the other big leagues in Europe.
you could have at least provided an example for your outlandish claim. here's one, adel taraabt doesn't even get a look in for fucking qpr and yet he did quite well for italian giants ac milan

13227256:Watts said:Point is, I would guess at least 80% of people who who actually watch a decent amount of non-epl soccer and aren't epl biased and actually have a respectable knowledge of the game would agree that the smaller name players outside of England are better than those who play in England. It's not an outlandish claim at all.
13227332:tom.ch said:Couldn't be more outlandish. The small teams in England are better than most continental small teams. It's got nothing to do with individual players making a big name in a different country. There are numerous other influences like age, manager, their personal comfort, etc.
Also, don't start that jibber-jabber about respectable knowledge of the game. That only highlights your ignorance.
