I'm the angriest person on the planet right now- England were shit, so was the manager, the highest paid manager at the whole tournament.. Fuck capello, and especialy fuck green, wright Phillips (worst player on earth) and green... We were amazing for 10 minutes.. That's it... Once again, we never live up to our potential.... Lampard = most overrated player ever.... Fuck it....

Cool off. England did fine. Green messed up. Capello's tactics are sound.

The Americans are pretty good anyway... its not like you just drew with Bhutan or something...
 
Well im not suprised England didn't win....we always, ALWAYS fuck it up in some way.

Get your body behind the ball, it's the first thing you learn when goal keeping. And then to try and redeem ouselves we missed too many chances.

England is a team of world class players, who can't play together.

 
I'm cooler now... But what pissed me off is, if we're going to win this tournament, I wanted us to go out there and set out our stall and put on a performance that was full of confidence and get a good win to build on. I was far from convinced... Plus we ALWAYS draw our first games of tournaments! America will do ok, but you need more cutting edge and ideas in the final 3rd. You have a lot of reliance on Clint Dempsey.... Gerrards goal was class-that was when I thought yes! Here we go... Then it just got a bit toothless.. Hopefully Joe Cole will be back for the next game- I hate wright Phillips...
 
I disagree, I thought the US played well after the first 15 minutes.

DeMerit shut down Rooney, he had to go back further and further toward midfield to try to get going. Cherundolo is consistent, and Onyewu had a couple solid stops.

Jozy missed that chance, and I didn't think Findley played well. I'd like to see Buddle for the whole game next time, he played well against Australia last week.

Donovan had a hard time against Ashley Cole, who is one of the best left backs in the world. But I liked some of his services, and I think the team in general will continue to improve.
 
yeah i agree, besides some obvious mistakes i thought they looked pretty good after the first 15 minutes. those first 15 were hard to watch though
 
England fans are the biggest problem with the national team. The second you guys have one mediocre result you call for the players and managers head. It's really quite pathetic. When it comes down to it the only thing keeping you from a win was a simple goalkeeper gaff.
 
Isn't that the way a lot of fans of elite teams act though? Look at Yankees, Red Sox, Patriots, Lakers, and other fans of high end elite teams. They always want the head coach or managers head.
 
yeah, England fans are about as worse as you can get. although, Mr.Panda is right, that definitely occurs for all high level sports teams. whether it be baseball, basketball, football, or soccer.
 
No, the problem is we end up getting knocked out due to stupid mistakes. It happens every world cup and euro, which is why i wasnt suprised that the ball got past green.

I agree, for example, that making an effigy of beckham on a noose is retarded, but they are supposed to be at their very best at national level, and stupid mistakes piss people off.
