It took them a while to get into a groove, but now they're playing well. Just need to capitalize. Altidore should have had that earlier header.
 
I don't know what the fuck he was doing. It was a beautiful ball by Donovan. The English defender came up underneath him, but the ball was still just a few fucking inches in front of his face and he backed off. Can't miss shit like that in the World Cup.
 
not really, when you consider that DAVID JAMES is his backup, his life is by no means over. CALAMITY JAMES has made more mistakes than any keeper ive ever seen
 
This. Hardly anyone in America even cares about the World Cup.. But over in England. Man, his life is gonna suck.

They've calmed down, US is playing alot better then tehy were at the first. I expect this to be an amazing match. and its like one of the announcers said "if you buy tickets to a raffle, your going to win eventually"

Fuck that was a good game we almost fell apart at the end. Jozey should have made that, its insane how fast that guy is. Howard is a wall.
 
solid match, thats gonna make the race for 1st in that group really close. winning that group is so important cause its the difference between playing germany and ghana/australia/serbia
 
I thought that was a bad game for the U.S. They never really controlled the game, didn't pressure england, and lost most of the 50 50 balls. They needed to slow down their play and make some passes instead of all the long balls. They were completely dominated and are lucky England was having a bad game. I really hope they do better in the next two games.
 
yea i know what you are saying. The second half was pretty bad for the US, first half was pretty good though. I think we were just too tired, should have subbed some more.
 
Surprising result. Its funny because a draw is fine for America but England is PISSED right now. Bit disappointed especially with England's many oppurtunities, but at least now I can make fun of all my British friends. Regardless, good fucking game. Really good game. Was stood up for probably about half of it haha. US did an incredible job just not letting Rooney do shit for basically the whole game.
 
Yeah I agree with thenowhereman USA kept rooney real quiet throughout the game. Heskey did ALOT better than i thought he was going to and lennon looked so dangerous on the wing for us.

All about goal difference now and I think england will get top spot still. good game though.
 
Yeah Rooney wasn't really involved, and Green is gonna get a lot of heat for that. Lol at the drawing^. Good match, now I have to take the math test online for u del. Super fun!
 
too bad their best player has a broken arm. They would have had a fair chance. But good game overall, yeah that score was a bit lucky but the USA played really well, wouldnt say they got dominated.

That said, they still wont win. Nigeria is way better if you're going to pick an african nation to win it..

He didnt get his first touch inside the box till the 73rd. and it nearly went in.

That said, it was fairly obvious, they were using rooney as a decoy to clear the box for lampard and gerrard and the wings to cut inside. So he wasnt completely useless.
 
no, that was the first time he touched the ball.

the other guy was right about not getting the ball til the 71st minute.
