Has anyone shot with an ENG lens?

I picked up a GH3 with a few nikon primes and an Fujinon A15x8BEVM

Its a 16-240mm constant f1.7 also has a servo zoom.

That looks absolutely silly.

Its designed for a 1" sensor broadcast camera right? Heath is probably right about having to use it in crop mode.
 
Yeah, it does. or a doubler.

There is a hdx2 which corrects the color prism for a single chip camera.

Some of the results from ETC mode on the GH3 look pretty comparable at low ISO.

As expected, with low aperture things get pretty soft with the eng lens.

All in it wasnt too expensive and could yield some cool footage.
 
Kid I went to school with shot all of his videos for his projects with one of these kinda lenses on a, I shit you not, GH1ONE!1

Actually had some pretty killer results no lie.
 
came in the mail and had a day to play around.

waiting for a battery for the power zoom.

lens has a built in doubler no need for crop mode.

 
really easy to hold with the zoom handle, once i can use the servo should be alot more comfortable.

It is awkward using my left hand to press record...
 
Any further news on this? Looking at this seriously for this coming winter to save hiring long lenses for long shots at events.

would make life easier than hauling this old thang up ropetows in NZ...
