End of Season Snow Conditions

Im thinking about planning a trip to Revelstoke in the last week of March. But I want to know what the snow conditions will be like. I dont want to be disappointed. Does the mountain still get a decent amount of snow that time of year? Essentially, what I want to know is if Ill be able to catch a powder day being that late in the season.

Im pretty sure (could be completely wrong) revelstoke is technically considered a rainforest because of the amount of snow they get each year, so id assume anytime would be fine

Due to Revelstokes low base elevation. It relies more heavily on the seasonal swing than elevation to provide cold temperatures. They built the base on the Columbia river. The largest river in the NW. If I know anything about gravity, it's that water flows down hill. A large river like the columbia is literally the lowest valley bottom in the entire region.

Having said that, with 6000 vertical feet. It can be quite warm down on the river. Yet still hold powder snow on the upper mountain. It's pretty awesome to be skiing below zero, cold snow up high, then down at the bottom and the sun is out and it's 12c/55F at the base.

If you're expecting cold, dry snow top to bottom with 30cm new overnight, then you are doing to have to get really luck. It doesn't happen in late march often.

Although the bottom elevation is not in it's prime, the backcountry is. So it really just comes down to the type of skiing you want to do, and what your expectations are.
