So i was listening to his new album and there are a couple tracks i like. But every single track sounds like he's on speed. So i was wondering if he actually is. or on something else im not sure.
 
if you knew anything about eminem, you would know hes been clean for a long time now... and was never on speed, actually quite the opposite. you would also know he is probably the greatest lyricist of our generation to date... regardless of race
 
Baaaaaahhhh thats funny! best lyricist pssssssh goe check some early eyedea. Eminem cant touch him even with that stupid fucking movie he made about how hard his life was. That said huge props to eminem and anything he has ever done with andre young.
 
Don't be so ignorant, Eminem sure seems like an asshole, but he is a great rapper, not my cup o' tea though.
 
You can't say Slim is a bad rapper, he's just not. This new CD is some of the best stuff he's but out since The Eminem Show (I think that was the last good album, maybe Marshall Mathers LP)
 
I mean point out my ignorance. Ive been listening to eminem since I was in third grade. Ive listenend to it all and at one point knew most of his lyrics. Then I actaully started to listen to hip hop on a huge scale and got sick of listening to Em's sob stories. There are soooo many more talented lyricists than him whose lyrics mean a lot more. just cause eminem is the most popular (white) rapper doesn't mean he's the best, no hate intended, jus sayin
 
Ya man it physically hurts to type this but Rhymesayers has kinda gone to shit. Slug is super emo, Ant's beats arent as on point as they once were, Eyedea just isnt the same. Abilities still knows his way around the 1's and 2's tho.
I dont think it discredits the earlier works though when they were dope they were DOPE. absolutely dripping, the first Eyedea & Abilities cd, Exhausted Love is still one of my favorites.
 
I was never a real big eminem fan but the new album is sick. Although im not a fan of like on fire w.t.p or almost famous just cuz it reminds me of like his old shit that i never realy liked
 
im not going to get into all this again but i jsut wanna point out one thing..

today in the car i was thinking about how ive seen many people go oh his CDs alright..theres a couple real good songs on here and some arent great. theres that expectation that we all see in Eminem. all these shitty rappers out there today have ONE good song thats played on the radio and thats all you listen to. when eminems CD comes out we judge him by his entire CD. hes a true artist with amazing talent. hes still got it. and hes still an amazing artist who does shit for the radio and mtv and high school proms.
 
Stan is a masterpiece. check out the album infinite, 313 has more witty references than you probably understand

my opinion on eminem is he is one of the handful of old school rappers not this mainstream bullshit thats all over today (lil wayne ect.) i think people should give more prop for those handfuls not only for there amazing lyrics but also for staying alive unlike our friends pac and Notorious (R.I.P)
 
if your talking about me, im sorry my mistake i was thinking as of todays rappers compared to back in the day there better i know of all time there are way more badass rappers but the majority of modern day rap is really annoying and make no sense (my opinion no hate on anyone else's)
 
I wasnt saying just you yes I love rap and a lot of it has gone to shit over the years I agree with you. I was just saying in terms of lyrics rappers do not hold the ultimate title. e.g of those people would be lennon and mccartney, don mclean, leonard cohen yadayadayada
 
The new album is so sick. He fucking killed it lyrically. I have no idea how you could ever trash the guy.
There are a lot of great rappers out there but a lot of the time what is considered "great lyrics" just sounds like guys having a normal conversation in normal life.
Eminem does sound like he's on speed but fuck can he put verses together
