O and forealzies, sold more albums then any other rapper out there. Put out so many different albums and all sold well. Guy kills it.
 
eminem is definitely very good and has had a crazy amount of success. IMO when you start saying best when you are referring to music you have to consider consistency. Like when you can choose an artist and love literally every one of their songs. and tbh eminem has a fair amount of songs that are permanent skips when i listen to him.
 
Well his lyrics are sick as fuck, he has unreal flow, he can spit slow and when he does spit fast you can still understand everything he says you don't have to go back and listen to it 10 times to decypher it (sp?) also anyone who has ever dissed him has gotten destroyed and there career literally ruined. Just like skiing it is really hard to put someone as "greatest" but hes definately one of the best. Gotta love Jay-Z as well.

Dunno if you mean eminems shit blows dick. Relapse was pretty fucky, good beats but the lyrics were 2 fucked up. Recovery was pretty dope I thought real different then his old shit but hes all grown now. Atleast it wasn't as shitty as 90% of lil waynes shit these days haha. I can pretty much listen to every song eminem has put out other then the relapse and I can still listen to old times sake, must be the ganja, drop the bomb on em, and hell breaks lose over and over again o and elevators dope as fuck 2
 
Record sales means he can consistantly put out solid hits. Everything he raps about has some sort of meaning or is hilarious in some way. anything else besides record sales is now just opinion which in my case I have a solid fact to back mine up with wheres yours :)
 
Meh, well if you listen to rap then eminem puts out some of the best. I also listen to rock n role. and some people ask some stupid fucking questions. Meh I guess we are now in the generation of Dub step BRAH BRAH BRAHHHHHHHHH BUZZZNTTTT BUZZZZNT

has the best flow of any rapper ever. Lots of people hatte the content of his music though.

He is the greatest Emo Rapper ever for sure, but he has too few happy/baller songs.

I enjoy more of his music than any other rappers though.

Lose Yourself is a masterpiece of a song though. Legit can stand up any classic from any genre from any decade.
 
Emo rapper? Wouldnt call him that at all, though a lot of his songs arn't exactly happy songs hes usually just ripping on people making fun of dumb bitches or just clowning around. and that song that buddy posted was decent but the beat was anoying as hell. Eminem has an awesome flow and a killer beat to go with it almost everytime.
 
a lot of his stuff is very dark, and comes from an emotional place. If i was asked to describe his music as a whole, i would say Emo Rap(not a perfect description but close). Is all of it like that? No, but a large portion of it is.
 
also when you say "All these 12 year old girls went through the stage of liking Justin it doesn't count" I don't know 1 person who hasn't gone through the eminem stage and just listened to him. But everyone has gotten outa that stage and realized his music is shit. His music is so depressing and his voice makes my ears hurt when I have my music turned up to full blast in my car. No other rapper out there has done that to me, when he raps my cars tweeters hit the all time high that they ever have. My subs can't even drown it out.

Not to mention his new stuff is absolute garbage compared to his old stuff. I know everyone says it, but there's a reason for it. Infinite is still by far my favorite album of his and that sold maybe 1,000 copies.
 
bieber will hit puberty in the next few years and fall off. Also he is nowhere near to Eminem in record sales and Eminem isn't done yet. There will be another child superstar in a few years and Biebsybitchboy will fall off.

@californiagrown I would catogorize emo as talking about slitting your wrists and killing yourself and basically crying. He does rap about hard times like anyone else but I def wouldn't call it emo, maybe bluesy but def not emo I hate emo music haha
 
Eminem is so done. Hardly anyone listens to him anymore, his music is shit, he can't colab with anyone because his music is sooooo off of what everyone else is doing, the radio hasn't played one of his songs in prob about 2 years. He has fallen off the face of the rap game. I never hear about how he is being something big in the studio, or releasing small mixtapes or glimpse of his music to people to get the hype back. That is the way to get everyone hyped about your music, mixtapes, free music everyone loves, amazing free music is even better and makes you want to wait for him to release his album and purchase it.
 
When's the last time you heard rap on the radio even? (of course I'm talking mainstream radio) has rap as a whole fell off? No, it's just moving away from the mainstream, and eminem is in my personal top 10 of all time, on a freestyle he can rip harder than anyone, and when he wants to he can be an amazing lyricist.

eminem is solid, don't get me wrong, but i'm of the opinion that most people are idiots, so most albums sold is not a good indicator of someone's greatness, just their success.
 
I used to just lay on my bed listening to The Slim Shady LP, trying to listen to the lyrics and write everything down correctly. I wish I still had that notepad somewhere, I was pretty off with a lot of verses.

Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers LPs are excellent albums, after that it went a bit awry.
 
Ha. Haha. Hahahhahaha. How about my ability to hear what he's making is crap and the music he's producing including lyrics are utter garbage. Record sales? Cool you like what every other twelve year old girl has a crush on you know music the billboard charts told you so. Best ever I mean come on.. You're kidding right. The real slim shady is a real fucking loser.
