Emergency Packing Help

Hey Newschoolers,

It's 2AM and I've got a flight at 8AM.

I'm leaving my house to work for two months on a research vessel on the ocean. After the work, I'll be dumped in either Seattle, Vancouver, Prince Rupert or Alaska. After that, I'll be a free man with some cash to go skiing. The problem is, I haven't packed ANYTHING. I need to scramble and pack a gigantic ski bag full of things for about 3 months of skiing and 2 months of work in the ocean.

What kind of skis do you think I should cram into my bag? I've got everything, 6 or 7 different pairs of different widths. I'm into touring, pow, and skiing park. What can I absolutely not forget? Fuck my life right now. Help me NS, I need your help!

as much long underwear and base layers as you can fit

few hits and mittens

pow skis, touring setup and avy gear

goggles/stunna shades

flannels

camera

cell phone charger & ipod

solid backpack for skiing

you are a dumbass if you plan to pack for 5 months in 6 hours and havent thought about it at all. good luck.

Last minute packing is stressful. It will give you gray hair. Don't worry about it, and just buy new stuff at your destination. You'll get through the airport quicker, support the economy, look younger, and have the latest gear. It's a win-win situation!
