this is what i like to see from skiing. lets see more off it. this is just scratching the surface there is so many more good edits from ninthward!

really? this is what you want to see from skiing? gold fronts, 9 mm's, rims, knives, bullet proof vests, and edits with only like 10 to 50 % skiing in em? they're tryin to make fuckin rap videos. this is skiing.

i dont care if you love rap (i do too), but im pretty sure i grew out of playing dress up and pretending i was someone i saw on tv or some shit when i was in elementary school.

i did think it was fuckin hilarious that all their "party" shots had no chicks in em but i guess thats beside the point

i really dont think this is the direction skiing should be heading in. sorry just my opinion.

Just saying but on the last video from Daily Motion they have some chick at 0:09 rubbing her pussy in front of the camera.... so I'm guessing that this thread will be delete pretty soon?

you joined in december 2009 so I wouldn't expect you to have an appreciation for the impact these videos had on the skiing world

I'm with you on the fact that anyone making a video like this these days is clearly a played out pro or a 12 year old wanna be henrik, however when these videos came out they were almost revolutionary. I remember watching these for the first time and almost shitting my pants because someone had actually portrayed skiing to be cool, something that was only associated with snowboarding up until that point. Not only that but the idea of back swaps were just coming out and tail presses on boxes were next level.

So, I see your point, if this video was made today, these guys would be laughed off stage, however it was made ten years ago and changed the way a lot of people looked at skiing, and led that "gangster" movement everyone now loves so much. Think of these videos more as a monument than a display of good skiing, just watch them and pay some respect

that is cause they are some ugly fuckers and they act like this... the ladies are not really attracted to this shit

fair call. I honestly wasn't tryin to disrespect the ninthward crew (I was in the midst of a booze fueled all nighter writing a history paper and ended up in a drunken rant) and I fully appreciate what they did for skiings image and style. Just cause I wasn't on NS doesn't mean I was totally out of the loop and I know the struggle back then tryin to make skiing look as cool as snowboarding

respect

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Besides the last edit included in there at the end, the original Hazen Boys edits were absolutely mind-blowing at the time. I pretty much had them on replay for a while, put them on my ipod and watched them on the lift.

I'm with dodgey on this one. Let's see some skiing. I don't care at all for the fake gangster shit. Anyone can pretend to be tough.

Plus I hate the gangster vibes in skiing today, so these edits are basically the root of all evil for me.

/my two cents.
