I'm coming up to Elk Mountain during Christmas break. How good is there park right now? or how good will it be by christmas.

When I was there a few Januarys ago they had a rope tow, some nice boxes, and a 5-7ft table. I think that was it. Maybe there's another park though...we had more fun just skiing the mountain.

if your going to elk, dont expect to ski park, its blows.

go to sno or boulder [boulder if you can though]

^^^^^ hahahaha
Yeah I live right next to Elk, there park is, well, not to great. Like everyone else said to to Boulder if you can

Yea I grew up skiing Elk. Park blows, tow rope is cool you can get a lot of hits on a few small semi decent jibs. Jumps?non existent. The mountain is nice though I'd your down for groomers. Used to shred that all day er day, then I grew up and moved to AK.

yes me and santasteeze used to shred elk daily but i wouldnt wish that place on my worst enemies. unless you get there on a "pow" day. then the woods become heaven

I'm staying at Elk and have to ski there with my dad, if it were just me I would go to Boulder but that isn't an option. Thanks for the advice though.

If your going to go to Elk DON'T. Depending on where you'll be staying ,sno mountain or boulder is really close by.I'll be skiing at sno during break and prob hittin up boulder sometime too. Elks park usually isn't the best but some sick runs,Boulder has boring runs but a sick park, And SNO has a decent park with decent runs.

Elk is a good mountain, but the park is alright. There park isn't really set up right now, but they have a little progression park going. If you can, go to Sno Mountain or Big Boulder. I just went to Sno and the park is decent, and Big Boulder's park is top 5 on the east coast.

Was there last year and they had maybe 2 smallish jumps and possibly 6 - 10 smallish features. I must say they are doing better than years past where their park was almost non-existent. It is cool they put a little rope tow in there if you feel like lapping. If your cruising the trails keep your eyes peeled for slopeside hits as sometimes they have a couple nice ones. I'm pretty sure you won't be doing any woods riding due to lack of snow, but if you do be careful as I had a ticket clipped there last year.

Such BS, you've got the best woods in PA (arguably), yet yell at anyone who goes into them. jfbb ftw, too bad your staying at elk.

Truth, I'll start.

Get off the lift at the top, head down skiers left, stay all the way left, as many times as you can bear left do it. Not far down while you're still going straight, keep your eyes peeled on the woods on the right hand side. If you see trails running up to and going in do it. Stay in the woods for until you pop out to a clearing above a trails merge. You should now be standing on top of a nice little 6 foot or so boulder drop to a nice steep landing. Just watch you don't run over a gaper when you come back on trail.

Boulder drop right where 27 and 11 meet. You should be on 27 and cut right into the woods before they meet.

Man is speaking the Truth! boulder thing is fun as hell to drop off of! forgot you were from NE PA TWA but yeah trust me you'll still have mad fun at elk
