quick question how far back is the mounting line from center on the elizabeths? and is -2cm from center a good spot to mount for everything?
 
go -2 and I was recommended 4frnts but mine didn't hold up too well but I'd get something with a wide screw pattern becuase i've heard of bidnings pulling out
 
yeah thats what ive heard so dont salomons have wide screw patterns but theres been a lot of naysaying about those.
 
ya i went in between 1.5 and 2. My feet are so big (29.5) that if i went reccomened id have such a small tail.
 
I have mine mounted at -2 from center, I'd say mount em there. As far as bindings someting with a wide screw patteren would be a good idea. I have Rossi axial 120's and those work perfect.
 
Yeah, mine was a misprint... they printed it in reverse, so if I had gone by it, my Elizabeths would have been insanely forward mounted. I just measured out what I wanted on my own... I ended up mounting 3.5 inches behind true center, worked perfect... feels center mounted but it's definitely not.
 
no point in paying extra for them vs. 912's unless you need the higher din setting. if your shelling out extra get the 916's cuz they have more metal in them and are more durable. no upward release though..
 
The 914 is a bit stronger than the 912, but still has the toe wing issues and all that.

I'd wait and get the STH 12 when it comes out next year, supposed to be really solid and light.
