Eldora

uh, i've never skied the rest of the mountain, but don't hit any of the 'hits' in the park. you'll die for sure. most of them are just trash cans laid down with snow on top of them. the pipe is decent (nice transitions) considering that they don't even have a real dragon to carve it with. the walls are all wavy though if you look down the pipe. it's funny. the pipe is lit until 8 on wednesdays.

All mountian Eldo's a bit of a joke. The 'extreme' sign has a hilarious warning, and isn't all that extreme. The groomers are usually decent. There are a ton of race teams, so early in the morning, late in the afternoon, and weekends some of the best are closed for them. Like lizzie said, the hits in the park are dangerous. Today two of them were just rollers, with no lip. If you have decent speed and some pop, you'll overshoot the landing easy. There are a couple of rails that aren't too bad. Definently the best feature is the pipe. It is a little wonky, but for a 30 min drive, you can't really complain. I go up pretty much whenever I only have a partial day of classes. Sure, I'd rather ski somewhere else, but I'm too lazy to drive to Summit County.
