eldora opens nov. 15th and rumor has it that they will be opening with a pipe. can anyone confirm or deny this? i gave them an email but got a shitty auto-response.

they built all their jumps/pipe out of dirt this yera, so all they need is a little snow to cover it. i kid i know is a patroller there and says its possible it will be there on opening day.

 
that'd be sweet if they had a pipe up this early.

Has anyone been up to Eldorka yet? I'm thinking of going up Friday, but I'd rather drive to summit county if I know it's going to suck ahead of time.

 
My friends on ski team went up to Eldora last weekend and said the snow sorta sucked. You can't go wrong with the snow in summit county.

I know Eldora sucks, but it's only a half hour away. If I only want to ski for a couple of hours before class, it's so much easier than going to Summit.

I went up today despite the lameness. They have Jolly Jug and Hornblower open. I was talking to a liftie and he said they're trying to get Indian Peaks and Corona open for the weekend. He didn't know about the park or the pipe. His guess was before Christmas.
