yeah thats the one, what do you mean by 3 edges? and why do you guys say elan is gay? because they dont spend money to put adds in your magizine. For your information elan makes a really good race skis and if you dont beleave me go ski on it and then tell me they are gay

there's an edge they put on the center on the bottom of the ski...apparently it takes the shock off from rails?

sounds like it has gimmick written all over it. Althoug had a pair of air twists that i got for $50 I had the same love hate relationship with them that one might have with a peice of shit car. They sucked but, good ski to bust learning rails.

I LOVE how people HATE ELAN, but LOVE ARMADA.

Umm guys elans 777 and 662 are twintips. And believe it or not elans factory also makes Salomons skis, some atomics, and many others.

I was a tester for elans fusion system when it was first coming out. I'm glad they figured out that the heal piece needed to stay fixed.

And if you haven't skied the 662 or 777 then you are missing out on a solid ski product. That is much cheaper, durable, and skis better than other skis in their catagory.

As far as a park ski. Well the new 662 fusion we'll find out how it handles. But the orange 662 was a killer ski. My fave is still the 777 green dragon of elans lineup.

Signature.

just cuz elan makes armada's skis dosent mean that there is a direct corelation between the two.

/\ oh no of course not. Just because one company makes another company's skiis for them, doesn't mean they're in business together AT ALL.

I just done like companies that pre-mount bindings/plates etc. I understand that its better for the ski's longevity, but it really limits mounting spots.

I got my big ass jaks for dirt cheap and still in the wrap. Cant wait to bust some biglines with the 190s.

Aramda is its own company but Elan presses the skis so they get a cut too. I thought Elan had some good twins whe they first came out. considering that at the time rossi had pow airs

sally had the 1080 yellow

and k2 had an elcameo which wasnt really a twin

and then there was the twist.

Elan dropped the ball on their own twin skis but they could get it right. i wont comment on their skis untill I ride a pair.

P.S. JAPAN HAS SICK POWDER

I tested these skis last year during the Ski canada test and was ver impressed they were super smooth on rail's and skiied the mnt actually pretty well too. it will be interesting to see the longevity of this ski. you are all right thought they really need to get some better graphics

''I just done like companies that pre-mount bindings/plates etc. I understand that its better for the ski's longevity, but it really limits mounting spots.''

so like line you mean?

They felt really stiff underfoot. That 'Third Edge' goes vertical down the center of the ski under the binding. Giving it no flex there.

I ski switch.

''I just done like companies that pre-mount bindings/plates etc. I understand that its better for the ski's longevity, but it really limits mounting spots.'' done---> don't

Yea, I'm talking about Line, Atomic, etc. I want to put my binding wherever I want it (usually center) and I want to be able to choose what binding I put on it.

i woudl be willing to give this ski a try, elan has made some pretty solid stuf fin the past, who is to say this ski isnt a solid one?

ok

Who cares what other people think of them, and who cares what they look like?! Just go and demo them, and thats that, its how you ski on them, who gives a shit what they look like.

Skiing.

I wont ever tell you that your not good enough or that its not wokring out, it wont ever tell you that you were better off being a friend, it wont ever just leave you in the dark, and it wont ever do anything that you dont like.

ummm.. you better demo them before you say shit about them, one of the nicest skis i demoed outta all 04/05's, if i didnt get a 200 dollar deal on new fujatives, i'd have some elans mounted and ready to go right now

Ok. I just got an email from a buddy of mine that tested the original Orange like I did, but he also got to test the new fusion 662.

The orange is a better ski if you want to use it in the park, and sometimes for all mtn. But don't use it in deep snow to much if you ski it in the park all the time. Reason being is that the forward mounting position needed if you ride park alot, sucks in deeper snow.

The 777 you really do not have that problem. The new fusion version we will find out in the tests I'm running.

And in my humble opinion. Well Binding systems are great. But they lock you into only buying skis from one company.

For myself. Well give me a ski that can be mounted normally. I prefer demo bindings myself, that has atleast a din of 12 on them. That way I can play with the settings more. IMHO

777 is a awesome all round ski.

Not for park tho.

I kinda of see them as the new 'x-screams' when those stickers ripped everywhere like 5 years ago.
