why is everyone hate'n on elan does no one realize that they make a good portion of the ski industry skis' and alot of the snowboards out there to.
 
yeah ill give you that but it takes stupid stuff like that to move forward ... while they did that they also invented the parabolic ski with the SCX and thye also had the first binding and ski incorperated system and now the speedwave read up talk to other reps you would be suprised ... but thats besides the point i was trying to say that they actually build or have built many of the ski for the likes of rossi volkl k2 (k2 now built in china for obvious reasons) in the past .. not to sure who they actually build for at this point in time
 
they have a metal edge on the base of the ski under the boot, so its easier to slide, does it actually work? cause it was a smart idea
 
The inventor of the parabolic ski was Kneissl with the "Ergo". Pretty limited numbers, and not a particularly huge success at the time.

The SCX was the first "mass market" parabolic. Apparently they had better ad execs.
