This is really awesome, I think it's great Elam is going to retire a Bronco. Too bad he left for two years to Atlanta, he would have spent his whole career as a Bronco. To me, he is a very stand up player and a respectable person. Sad to see him leave the league.

Former kicker Jason Elam, who played for the club from 1993 to 2007, will sign a one-day contract on Wednesday for his retirement.After leaving the Broncos in 2007, Elam played for the Atlanta Falcons for two seasons.No player in NFL history has scored more points for one team than Elam has for the Broncos. He also has the record for the most seasons with at least 100 points.He was drafted out of the University of Hawaii by the Broncos in the third round of the 1993 NFL Draft
.Elam also holds the tie for the longest field goal ever kicked. He made a 63-yarder against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 25, 1998.
