She pretty much already is. Wouldn't be surprised if she only sticks with skiing for another season or two then switches to the modeling lifestyle full time.

haha wtf is this? jon olsson helped revolutionize the sport, he was an absolute top shelf film star for years, won a lot of stuff (and got 2nd and 3rd a TON lol) and the dude fuckin switch misty 9ed chad's gap

Her whole thing is that she wants money and fame. She markers herself to multiple countries and doubles her exposure. It’s smart. In my opinion she’s just a sellout.

I wasn't trying to imply anything negative towards Jon, he was one of my favorite skiers growing up. He's just an example of someone who had success in the sport and used that success to essentially leave it and become a personality outside of skiing.

I sometimes forget what a baller Gus was (is), such a dope skier. This is one of my favorite edits of his too.

Also good for Eileen to be compared to Jon and Gus. Two legends and no doubt she will also join that group of "legendary skiers" too.

I mostly dislike her because she trains elsewhere then went and claim victory for China and fuck China. She reminds me of a Nick Geopper that actually wins there’s way better skier in respect to style. And yeah definitely some judge bias. She’s definitely talented but she’s a kook.

Not to mention Jon created and helped fund JOI and JOSS, the two greatest events in skiing. Jon is a legend even if his current persona is lame.

I'm a dual citizen, both German and American. Sometimes you just don't feel like you're either nationality, sometimes you feel like both, sometimes one or the other.

I would duck questions at that age too, I was still figuring out my identity at her age and was confused.

Does she use it strategically for employment? Hell yes. So have I. It's a perk. Why not use it?

This ones gonna be unpopular but fuck it.

I dont dislike Eileen because she is "not core" lol. I dislike her because she chose to support the CCP a couple months after the BBC report came out about the active genoside happening in Xinjiang. Choosing to ski for China at that moment in time imo shows support for everything that the CCP is doing. While I dont care even slighly about olympic results, authoritarian (often communist) regimes often care a lot about it and see it as a big show of power to their people so winning was a big deal for them.

In my mind its basicly like skiing for Germany in 1936 because your grandfather was born in Aachen.

Most nationalist Chinese people arnt big fans of her because she left China asap after the Olympics when Beijing went back into lockdown also for a bunch of ignorant stuff she said on western news. Also the fact that she goes to Japan lol cant forget about the whole anti-Japanese xenophobia rampent in China.

Then the non ultra nationalists dont like her because she went on western news stations and was to ignorant about CCP laws and she basicly dismissed a lot of their daily struggles.

Unpopular opinion: They're not even in the same universe, skill wise, that's why she isn't as popular. You can't deny a guy with her skill level wouldn't have a fraction of the publicity. Call me sexist idc, but she's not exciting to watch. And she is ugly.
