Duel citizenship, if she skis for china thats one more spot on the USA team so it works out for everyone, because tbh shes gonna win everything for awhile.

I mean shes gonna win every pipe event for a few years, tbh opening another spot for a skier from the USA is a good thing, let her do whatever she wants, you're being a bit insensitive/racist brother.

not naive or out of touch. whats wrong with wanting american athletes to perform well in the olympics, and reppin the country that has provided the opportunity for them to do so, by their own motivations? you do realize what its like for everyday people in china along with athletes that are enslaved to train for the olympics since they were very small, ones from actual mainland china. unlike eileen. ahh, you may be the one thats naive. commies offered her money to be on their team and she agreed. no respect for people that take money from china, whom genocide their own people and control most every aspect of the populations day to day life. if getting "that bag" is more important to her than realizing she is representing a god awful communist regime, i cant support and say go Brita, Cassie, Annalisa, Caroline or Mathilde!

Great point about a spot opening up on the USA team then. I wanna see Bella bacon fill that spot on the us team she rips and has some style

Do you know her? Do you know her family? Do you have any information about how she was brought up? I grew up in a country that I wouldn't represent for a national team if I had the choice, I'd represent where my parents are from so that's what she's done. You have no clue. You seem bitter and racist.

She probably feels relieved by her choice to not represent america with you acting like this too lmao.

She seems kinda arrogant also she must have a huge amount of money I bet. Nofront but I dont like her...

Your whole argument was nullified the instant she gave thanks to Sarah. Super, super solid tip of the hat to her for that. Sarah passed when she was just 8? She at least knows some basics of where she is coming from, so that's dope.

Money? She definitely could make the US team for Olympics so it's kinda dope she is more or less giving a spot to someone else in the US to have a shot.

Unlike Gus who has zero chance to make the US team and rather ski for GB to keep what skiing career going. But shit money is money.

It's very common for American athletes to represent for other countries at the Olympics.

Cut your pathetic fucking loser bullshit, trying to trash her while she's standing on the podium.

this one! it honestly doesn't matter much what country they are representing, if they are good they will be on the podium end of the story.

Presumably she had the choice between being one of many talented US skiers or the only Chinese one. China probably pays her more, she's also really popular over there and models in fashion magazines, IIRC her faction promodel sold out super fast.

This happens all the time for a myriad of different countries. What's the rent run you monthly for that rock you're living under?

Bro what is ur obsession with Bella Bacon. This is the second thread I've seen today with u talking about her. My simp detector is starting to pick up traces of simpioactivity.

I find it slightly odd that people can or would ski for a nation that isn’t their main residency...with that said, good for her. She rips

In all seriousness tho the only people who really care about countries are the casual watchers who have no idea who tf any of these people are. I’m not Swedish by any means but I’d still love to watch henrik put on another clinic this weekend. He’d still be my favorite skier even if he was skiing for Team Uganda.

No she’s from my local hill and she has way more style than most of these pro skiers. I would just rather see style over a crappy dub 12

Her do-rag thing is kinda cringe, as with all White skiers with do-rag looking things.

I saw Matej unicorn (you know the guy - I don’t know his full name) put a story about his do-rag looking thing and clarifying what it was because people were calling him out. I think it would be easier for him to just to wear the balaclava like it was intended..

Awh! I love Gu Rag ?

I love seeing dudes melt over the fact a younger female is leagues ahead of their skiing ability and then try to turn it into a half assed pissing contest of why they think their shitty opinions matter. Always keeping it classy NS.

*Authoritarian capitalist regime

Happens plenty in other sports too. Kanoa Igarashi will be repping Japan in surfing at the next Olympics. Whenever that is

Damn there's a shit load of hate in this thread...

The next Olympics are in China and Eileen will be treated like a god if she wins. There's plenty of reasons to compete for another country other than money. One of the most common is training schedules. Most national sport organizations (ie USSA, etc...) have pretty strict training schedules and it's very possible that her schedule (school and modelling) doesn't line up with that.

China owns a shit load of the ski industry now (Salomon, Atomic, Armada, Arc'teryx, Peak Performance) and manufactures even more for it. You can avoid it or you can accept it and move on.

lmao typically in the past it'd be some chode talking about how if he turned into a girl and JUST doubled his skill level he'd be on the podium and that's why girls' skiing sucks

now that the girls are ripping too hard for even the most delusional dudes to try that angle, they have to get creative with threads like this

So then you also wouldn’t respect her if she represented the USA because of the genocide of indigenous Americans right?

huge advantage for olympics not having to bust yourself in team USA 4 event qualifying......... she won't have to compete in shit to qualify and will be healthy because of it. same with gus this year on team GB.

Dipshit thinks China is communist...

What? I log in here for the first time in a year and who do I see? The nostalgia... the feels.

Anyway, she's probably skiing for China because China is going to throw a boatload of cash at its team for the next Olympics, and while I imagine the US team will be reasonably well funded, it's not going to be particularly close. Ski careers are short enough, have to do what you can to make hay while the sun shines.

What's up JD! Miss you buddy.

But isn't China throwing money equally at all it's people, or food stamps, or whatever commies do?
