Eff these mobile ads

Do they load slow as fuck for everyone else too? The actual ns page loads fast but as soon as i go to click a link a few seconds later everything jumps down and i click the wrong link. Pretty annoying. Half the time there also isnt even a banner ad that shows up either. It just jumps to show a blank space.

Should be addressed.
 
Its happening again now, even worse. I assume something to do with the ads on the top or embedded into the op of every thread. The page jumps up and down 2 or 3 times to load the ads after the thread is loaded.
 
For a little bit there, they were popping up under the original post and not moving

Not pretty, but still perfect

Thats the first time the one in the op was chevy though. Was the shredditor 102s before. And the other one was something else before as well. Cant remember though

Ok, working on this. We can replicate and there is definitely some fuckery going on here.

What is the problem with the forum ad? I can't replicate that behavior other than we moved the ad down a bit.

Forum one? Is that the smaller one in the op? It just loads slowly or not at all. I guess thats the problem i have woth both is they load after the page is done loading causing it to jump

Ah yes OK - we have identified this then. The page jumpiness is really a problem, and we're trying to work on a quick solution.
 
Has anyone gotten ads on mobile that take up more space than the actual site? Idk if that makes sense so I'll post screenshots when I get home but basically the borders of the forum end and then like a couple cm past that the ad ends.

Still having major page jump issues, android 6 and chrome.

Yeah, we recognize this and have fixed it for most - but there's stilla few lingering issues. Grab me a screen shot, what page it happened on, what ad caused it and browser / OS and we can figure it out.

I actually haven't seen it since I posted that but I will send screens if it happens again.
 
Here's what I've been experiencing. The page loads with no ad space. Then it jumps down creating tons of space. Then finally to the ad itself.

Using latest android with Samsung's built in browser.
 
The only ad that seems to be working ok and not jumping half way down the screen is the banshee bungee ad.

Still working on it... we had a huge number of campaigns launch recently, and we're doing everything we can to smooth up the experience.

Yeah sorry, corporate launched all kinds of new ad units at the same time as new campaigns and there's tonnes of fuckery going on right now. Working on it one at a time!
 
I've been having crazy pop up ads recently. They are about einning an iPhone 6. I've seen no way to close them and they are multi layered. I get on the site and it happens in about 15 seconds. It essentially shuts down my browser as I can't close it or go back or close the browsers screen. It only happens on NS and on my mobile.
 
Is there any way the top 1/8 of the screen can be pre dedicated to ads so ads just appear in preexisting space instead of spazzing out my screen?

The screen now jumps down to show the big grey empty space twice. So from my above screenshots, run through it twice till the ad shows up.

Same OS.
 
I know its annoying but its pretty much every website on earth that ad jumps like that. Its so you inadvertently click on the ad and end up buying a 50 thousand dollar truck even though you didn't mean to.

Maybe this was some freak one time thing that happened as I haven't experienced this since I posted.
 
Still doing it. Top ad is slow and bumps everything down after it loads and the bottom ad is just annoying.

I'm assuming you're still working on it, but thought I'd let you know.

(Chrome on iOS 9.whatever if that helps)

We've made a small change to address the jumpiness of the page. Its a bit of a hack, but should work until we can implement a more perfect solution.
 
Its back and doing it again with this north face ad. Worse than ever its jumping like 5 times every page load. Not to mention the north face ad jumping to a full pager every once in a while.

Do they make adblock for mobile?
