What is the best editing program for a go pro? With a budget of up to $50? Yes I know, editing programs are expensive, what would be the best bet?

why spend money on something you can get for free. and someone quote me if im wrong, but there wont be many good editing programs out there for $50, if any. i have vegas 9 and it works great. if you want to know how to crack it reasonably easily, hit me a pm

alright so i am looking to get an editing program seeing as i now have a go pro hd.
i have never used any sort of editing software or done much with this type of stuff before but really want to get into it and just make some sweet edits i guess down the road.
i have a hp pavilion with windows vista.
im not looking to spend a crap load of money on editing software, but i do know torrents are out there, but also have never torrented something before.
help me out please, recomend some programs to use, how to use them.. and pretty much tell me something/everything seeing as how i am new to this type of stuff. thanks ns

yea i dont want to make a decision yet, but i have heard good things about vegas before, but like i said i am new to this field of movie editing.

BMskier: If you're on a PC, Premiere > Vegas. It may be harder to get, but it's closer to FCP in terms of program abilities and actually surpasses FCP in render times and playback etc. It's a dope program.
It may be harder to get, and I can't help you at all with torrenting it, but thought I'd toss the idea out there.
