Edit Critique Please

I actually didn't hate the colors. It was your lighting that was bad. It's tough on a cloudy day to get good colors/light, but put the effort in to make sure you get it right (rhymin!) Also: they weren't bad in every shot. Just some of them were a little underexposed. So don't worry about that too much.
I didn't find any of your shots in the first half of the edit to be particularly special. Yes, many of them were not as steady as they could/should have been, but all were follow cams. We all fall victim to the follow cam "stack footy" mentality, but it doesn't make for very impressive filming in general. A followcam captures all the tricks but doesn't do it artfully or conscientiously. Nah mean?
That being said, you put the edit together fairly well. It had good flow and I liked the variation between fast and slow shots. The sequence of shots following the slow one at 1:20 is really good, love the slow up of the pace. It does well to keep the viewer involved.
Didn't like the switching of the songs. It discombobulates the edit. The song is a really good tool for drawing continuity over the entire edit; its one "phrase" (in musical speak) that arches over the entire edit and, if all else fails, is a single thread of consistency. If you switch it up, you have to be really careful. Most edits that change songs a lot are "fun" edits, not exactly "artful" edits. Just keep that in mind.
I see what you were trying to do with the film burn at :51 but I don't think it worked. It's too random, too isolated, and it caught me off guard. I recommend something a little more subtle and using that more subtle burn throughout the whole edit so that it's never a random, one time thing. Your instincts were good to use it on the shot where the sun was blowing out the image, but it didn't really fit in the context of the edit.
I'm a fan of the speed-up-through-empty-skiing style during followcams. For me, its high energy and fun. It usually works. I also like that you followed it with a slow shot. Varying the pace helps keep the viewers interest.
Love the sequence around 2:17. Going from the tight in shot to the wide angle from a different perspective works really well here. Nice! I was sad that it went back to follow cams!
Is there any way you could cut out some of the non-bangers to tighten this edit up? I think it drags a little bit, at least for me. It would be much tighter and more coherent if you could cut out some of the less-important shots and shortened it down to 2, maybe 2.5 min.
Overall - pretty good, keep in mind a couple of these small details and try to put in effort when filming (aka not followcams) and you'll keep progressing. Good ish.

WOW thank you! yeah ill definitely work on those things, i agree with the follow cam thing! next edit im doing will for sure have more tripod stuff! received my glidecam as well so stability will also be better! yeah i kinda got a bit lazy with the filmburns there... i agree it was a bit random and harsh. Well thanks again for the feedback! always willing to hear what people think and their advice!

i liked it, this has probably already been said but make sure you get the whole person in the shot, seemed to be framed a little close
