i downloaded it, but it doesnt play very cleanly on my computer. it keeps skipping. i have burned itunes songs onto cds, but my question is this: can u download movies (on itunes, edias is called a "TV show", so watev)

mods, if u want to move this to media/arts, go right ahead.

and i dont think that this a repost, i know there has been many threads made for itunes help, but none for this. thanx

no, iTunes doesn't allow you to burn downloaded movies and tv shows to DVD (DMRs are still on them too).
Try quitting all running programs or applications (including background ones), you could also make the size of the video smaller (sometimes that helps).

PC or Mac?
If you're using a Mac, you can open finder>music>itunes>itunes music>TV shows>Everyday is a Saturday and then secondary click (or ctrl+click) on Everyday is a Saturday and "open with" quicktime and File>Save As so you can save it as a .mov file and then burn it to a DVD that way. This might work on a PC too, but I'm not sure. Also, if you have a Mac and you have Snow Leopard use Quicktime 7 as the new Quicktime wont let you "save as" with an itunes movie (I was able to pick either quicktime or quicktime 7 in the "open with" drop down)
Sorry, I didn't of that before.

^ shit, im using pc!

and colin, the other one was about downloading on itunes. this is about burning onto cds from itunes.

like I said - it might work there too, you just gotta find the itunes folder (should be under my music) and then the same process should work. I don't know for sure, but it's worth a shot.

I'm fairly certain the all videos on the iTMS have DRM... Only solution for burning it would be to screen capture the video. Apps like Snapz Pro X let you do this on the mac, I'm sure there are windows equivalents. However, if you can't even playback the movie smoothly, there's no way you'll be able to play it back smoothly *and* capture it.
All that said, your best bet is to suck it up and buy the DVD; the extra features are worth it. Or you can borrow a friend's copy and rip that, woth tools like handbrake.

FWIW, Quicktime/iTunes is a steaming pile of resource hogging poop on the PC. If you have a fast PC, it works fine, if you don't, not so much. This is absolutely not the case on the mac.
That said, yeah, try quitting everything else and just opening up the movie in QuickTime. That's your best bet. If you have an iPod Touch or iPhone you can sync it to that and watch it smoothly there too

No, but if it's a protected (DRM'd) movie file (as pretty much every movie you buy from the iTMS is) then you wont be able to save it as anything useful anyways. If its unprotected you can just play it in whatever player you want.
See if it opens/plays in VLC:http://videolan.org (if it does, its unprotected, if it doesn't its not.. you can also just get info in iTunes to see.)
