Edges

As I'm a little bitch I have a quick question. +k for answer

How do you guys do your edges? Sharp? Dull? Or just dull underfoot?

Just wondering because I've never sharpened my edges before but they recently were. Is that gonna cause me to catch an edge on rails and more specifically boxes?

Dull underfoot, keep them "maintained" in the tip and tail (slightly sharp, no bevel). This way I can still carve turns but will be less likely to catch on rails.

I just detune when they are brand new and use a gummystone on them here and there but as far as sharpening goes I dont really go there. (mainly cause I ski a lot of rails and theres no real point)

It all depends what kind of skiing you are doing I guess.

keep them detuned! never sharpen park skis cos they catch way too much! just like andy on TC says... you want them on a nice 45 degree angle! you cannot have a ski which can race and not grab every once in a while on boxes and rails.

hope this helps

I tele, so I try to keep those things razor sharp. It helps in crud and ice, but for park skis, keep em blunt.

haha, same dude, different name...if it makes you feel better you may still refer to me as my old username.
