Edges are going.

Probably a dumb question but, any way to keep it from going? its cracked on both sides of like a bend into the ski.

define fucked. i mean, theres some pretty good scratches and dings, but nothing like to the core. i promise ill get pics asap tomorrow

"fucked" is when the edges are completely separated from the bases pretty much not allowing any base to be able to attach to the flanged edging. If the bases are intact around the area of question with the edges then its most likely very fixable.

i fixed mine with some JB weld BEFORE

if it is the middle of your ski then i would honestly pull them up about 2in each way bend them up and remove extra ptex hanging on (to get the epoxy under and over them)and once you get them down i would also throw some smoothed over the top of the teeth and have that act as the base.
this is basically what i did but it is a bit defrent because mine were seperated about 6 in and where on the nose

where that break in the edges are is a problem to fix as it is on a natural curve. What you did seems to look to be working for a little but I wouldn't expect any permanent fix unfortunately. Sorry to tell you that haha most of the people who come into our shop with blow edges on the tip/tail are told we cant unfortunately fix it. Good luck though man.

4frnt skis dont have teeth on there edges like shown in the pic and when mine pulled out like that i epoxied them and clamped them and what not for a week and 1st day out it pulled out agina due to lack of teeth.fortunately i bout them from evogear and i called them sent em in and got a FULL refund!so i basicly got my 09 ar6s for 300 bucks pluss a hat!i love evohate 4frnt/rant

EXACTLY THAT HAPPEND TO MY TNKs! i just pulled the edge back and broke it off, i dont use them any more though

Ya they do.....do you think he ripped his out and re-edged it himself? Teeth = smaller bonding surface area. They just use the teeth on the tips so they can bend them around a tight radius. It's not like they go into the wood an latch in. I mean, just think about it...

That sucks what happened to your skis, but don't say ignorant crap like that.
