Edge Cracks!!!!!!

Alright so i bought last years rossi s4's this year and have skied them less than 10 days and have already gotten a edge crack? Is this normal? Because i have had my invaders for a few years and beat the absolute shit out of them and they still dont have a edge crack. I know edge cracks are normal but does this seem to fast? And is there any way a shop can fix this so it doesnt get worse?

I'm convinced that temperature and humidity play a huge part in edge damage. I've beat on my skis less than last year and got more cracks easier (last year I had Line Afterbangs, this year K2 Domains....same edges essentially). This year has been an extremely rare year as far as east coast weather goes (less ice, more natural snow, warmer on average, more humidity), and I'm pretty sure that has a lot to do with it. I've heard of people getting more cracks in a week at Windells than all season during the season, so this is why I've thought of this theory as well. I'm not sure what the weather has been were you ski, but this could play apart.
