Alright so on my K2 disorderlys that i just got this year already have 2 cracks about 1.5 inches apart from eachother, and the edge is bulging up/sidewall is buldging.. Can i get this shit warrentied, im really pissed off because i barly used them and this is my first year skiing. Can they fix/send me new skis.

bump plz help me out, i dont wanna go skiing again and come back with 1.5 inches of my edge missing that would totally suck. thought these skis were going to be durable and my brothers line invaders are 100x better in condition. we both do the same skiing too.

pictures? if its an edge problem, K2 should cover it. but lets see what it is cuz i can't tell from your description

okay i'll get some pictures later today. i really hope they will send me some new sticks. PICS TONIGHT! thanks for the reply tho!

Does not matter how many times you slid the box, how well you slid the box, or even if it was YOU sliding the box. If the skis were used on a rail, they will be classified under the rail damage category and not get warrantied.

Sorry bro,

Warranty is there for manufacturers FAULTS and DEFECTS, not damage sustained by abusing or neglecting your gear - anything sustained via an impact (whether it be from a box or a rock) is unlikely to be warranties because it isn't the manufacturers fault

well if K2 asks tell them you have never touched a rail and you were just skiing and it started to pull out.

i mean it shouldn't pull out this soon, so i think a little white lie is alright

Ya listen to this man. A edge doesn't crack because of normal riding it comes from an impact on some sort of surface. It sucks but it happens with skiing just ride them till their done and save up until then to buy some new sticks.

That really sucks man, you probably can't get warranted for that since its considered "rail damage".For your next pair of skis, make sure you file your edges, this will prevent edge damage from rails.good luck man

no it won't, it will prevent you catching an edge

dulled edges are just as prone to cracking from rail impact as sharp edges

Try to see what your local shop can do for you. Try to talk to someone knowledgable and see what they recommend for warranty. They will send them in for you and broker the deal if you want. Otherwise, its still worthwhile to get your busted edges epoxied back into place as best as can be. This happened to a pair of skis of mine a few years back, and they were able to put my destroyed skis back together better than I thought.

It's just an edge crack, it's right there with top sheet chipping for how little a company cares about it for warranty. All my park skis have cracked edges, they don't do shit.

sorry for the delay on the pics, i was gone last night, i will take some after school today and have them up later in the afternoon. Thanks guys, and yes i will be emailing them sometime soon. REALLY disappointed in this product, super pissed off. thinking that i should've just went with line.
