Edge crack thoughts?

Got some prodigy 2's off eBay for a cool $130. What do we think about these edge cracks? Why is the base cracked like that too? Looks fucked up. Wouldn't usually care, but the rest of the base looks pretty mint. Gonna take em to a pretty nice shop and see what a stone grind and ptex fill does I guess...

They’re all epoxied together. Stress expands into base with heat-cool cycle, that’s my understanding. Like other said, slop some epoxy in there then file down
 
Honestly that’s a good deal, as long as you don’t ski rails too aggressively, I would expect a good 20 days out of them. My factions did that within a week, and they still are yet to have any issues with 50 days on them. These things do tend to be hit or miss though.
 
this happened to my prodigy 2s as well. Exact same spot. Didn't seem to affect the skiability. Faction things
 
I've got a set of matching 183s that i don't use. Ill sell them for 50$ Has some edge cracking but sidewalls still mint
