Edge Crack + Seperation

Hi NS, I got a pair of J skis Whippets at the start of this season, they have held up fairly well for how poorly I have treated them, there is only four edge cracks in total (one on each edge) but this one is the worst out of all four, you can see in the pics there is a bit of separation, is there anything you can do? will it affect the ski overtime? Thanks NS

File the crack a little bit to soften the ends of the edge so they won't catch.

Mix up a batch of epoxy, a thinner/runnier epoxy than usual that will help it work in to where it needs to.

Put a flat bar on it and tap that with a hammer to get it as flush as possible. Clamp it up like crazy, put a heat lamp on it for a couple of hours to help cure the epoxy, then let it sit overnight.

Tidy it up with an edge file. Probably wouldn't hurt to de-tune quite a lot around that bit of edge to stop it from grabbing and ripping out a section of edge.
