turns out abuddy of mine has come back from working the whistler/blackcomb parks to take over the job of head tech for edelweiss's park. First off hes a sick snowboarder and def knows how to ride and what things should be set up like. riding with him today he dropped a few of the plans for the season.

-park will get continual maintenance thoughout the days by a crew of techs, plus nightly grooming (head tech is also a cat operator and experienced making jumps)

-construstion of 3-4 new boxes and about the same number of rails. all rail setups will be on proper built up flats with good jumps.

-variety of jump sizes with proper landings...all tombstoned takeoffs instead of simple bump tables to discourage rideovers

-EV has aquired a dragon to build and maintain a quater pipe under the main chair

-variety of fun features in the works including a 30ft lightpost rail...and using the old 5ft diameter chimney from teh lodge as a mini watertower jib

-wed night jamm sessions rotating around features with music

-several events through the season

-weekend park patrols (techs) ensuring that the park isnt full of people with no idea what they are doing

We finally have commited people with the time and skills to make something ridable...hopefully have a good season. And with $69 night passes for the season hopefully get get alot of good people out

I was there yesterday...and although it's early in the season, the park was in great condition. 3 Tables all in good condition, 1 rail with a jump...one small rainbow and an approx. 8 foot box.

I'm just new so it was wicked learning grounds.

The news sounds awesome.
