Ed mika fl to ef brass conversion kit on a Canon fl 55mm f/1.2

I have recently found a Canon fl 55mm f/1.2 for a steal on Craigslist. I have heard a lot of people say that fl/fd to ef is a no go, but this ed mika kit has some pretty good reviews and it would be quite nice to have such a fast lens. So NS, what are opinions on this kit? Is it worth it?

It looks like it works pretty well because it doesn't have a glass element in the converter like most for fd glass. Try it and let us know!
