I used the search and couldn't find anything, just wondering if anyone has done a paper on the economics and skiing. I have a huge paper due tomorrow and i need some ideas...

i'm sure we could help ya but we need some more details about the assignment. but just basic stuff you're looking at is supply and demand, the obstacles and costs of entering the market, and how to be competitive with big firms when you start off as a small company.

thats an interesting topic for economics class....it be cool when ur done to post it...id read

I am in Economics right now and I just did a paper on a Ski/Snowboard Headwear business. If you are from Canada go to www.statscan.com and search the articles there for stats. Also, try to look up ABI on google. It can be really helpful also. Talk about the trend in new ski companies coming out and the demand for twintips over the last few years. Throw the world equilibrium in there and GDP and you will be fine.

TAKE A CHANCE AND MAKE A LOT OF SKIS BECAUSE THE MORE YOU MAKE THE LESS IT COSTS FOR EACH PAIR OF SKIS

talk about how its still a new market and theres room for innovation and thats what it takes to make a name for your product in the ski industry.

If you would have started it when you got the paper, you wouldnt be freaking out on NS trying to figure out what your gonna do, now would ya?

haha to be honest, i was just looking for someone to post thier paper than copy, paste, and print that mofo...

Mine is more of a mix between marketing and economics. For my headwear business I did a Environmental Assessment that includes all statsm, competition and just the industry market and how we can find our niche (19 pages). I also just finished a Marketing Plan for the same business with strategies we would use and how we would differ from the competition and our financial plan (27 pages). Talk to me if you want either of them, I will help a fellow NS'er anyday.

haha, what's that "gross domestic product" or some shit...I can't believe I still remember all this crap from college over 6 years ago. I guess that's a good thing!
