East Coast Touring Ski

Hey guys!

I am looking into getting a real touring setup this winter. I live on the east coast, so I will be riding in the mountains of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. I am looking for a versatile ski that will work in moderately good conditions, otherwise I'll be in the park. I have park skis, so this will not touch a rail. I am 6'6", and about 170lbs. I want something that is jibby and playfull, but not super heavy. I want a to be able to do 360 slashes and that type of stuff, but I dont think that I will be skiing backwards too much in deep snow, so I dont need a full twin tip. Id like something stable enough for small drops, but I dont see this ski doing too much big mountain charging.

I am thinking that something in the 105-110 range would be ideal. Right now I am seriously considering the Atomic Automatic 109, Salomon Rocker 2 108, and the Line Sick Day 110.

I work at rei, so I get a discount on the brands that we sell, so unfortunately I am limited to bigger ski companies.

Thanks for your help!

Also, I used the search bar pretty extensively, but I am looking for some wisdom from people who have toured with these skis, or for someone to tell me why they wouldnt work well.

So I figured out that Andrew Whiteford tours on a sick day, and I talked to an atomic rep who tours on the automatic in vermont. Can anyone explain the difference in feel?
