yea, wheres it at? im waiting patiently for next weekend, but does anyone know where i can shred this weekend? if your afraid to give up your secret stash of early season snow.. im willing to drive anywhere and bring a blunt to share. WHERES THE SNOW?

I'm in the same boat here.... have a car sittin outside with a full tank of gas, nothing to do today, skis just leaning there mocking me, and like 24 hours to make something happen.

i might hit up sunday river next week if anyone wants to go shred? it will have to be midweek and we can meet up there, ill bring a dutchie

i think bretton woods might be opening next weekend. who knows...im hoping loon and okemo open soon so i can crank some turns out. i wasnt on skis till the second weekend of december last season

Looking questionable for even Killington for Turkeyday weekend.

If the current forecast comes true, it is likely they will not be open.

Killington ALL depends on the weather on Friday. The forecast has been bouncing between heavy rain, or a wet snow. If it's wet snow, we're good for the weekend. If it's heavy rain, this weekend is essentially fucked.

I'd say Okemo has a very slim chance of being open. There just is not the snowmaking window until around Saturday-Saturday night.

Alright, so here's the deal...

Things are incredibly iffy at this point.

There will be a coastal storm blowing up Friday into Saturday. The timing and exact placement of the storm are going to mean the world as to what happens, and in my mind, if there is skiing in the Northeast this weekend.

Despite models being very consistent, it is still over 72 hours out from the event and that leaves a LOT of time for things to change. And with these storms with such marginal temperatures, a small change can make a massive difference in what happens overall.

Still, at this point, I'd say the hope for Okemo and Mount Snow this weekend is low either way.

According to their snow report, 4 trails. but in reality, it's 2. T2 and Sunday Punch.

"MEANWHILE...YET ANOTHER POTENT LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS SHAPING UP OVER THE GULF COAST REGION OF MS...AL...GA. THIS NOW WILL SYNCH WITH LOW OVER THE GREAT LAKES REGION ON MONDAY...THEN TRACK EAST. UPPER LEVEL TROF WILL COINCIDE WITH THIS FEATURE...INCREASING POTENTIAL FOR A SIGNIFICANT SYSTEM TO AFFECT THE EAST COAST EARLY NEXT WEEK. SOUTHERN STREAM LOW WILL END UP BEING THE STRONGER OF THE TWO SURFACE LOWS...AND WILL TRACK NORTHEAST AND ACROSS OUR FORECAST AREA ON TUESDAY. THIS SYSTEM WILL HAVE DEEP MOISTURE...SINCE IT ORIGINATES CLOSE TO THE GULF. IT WILL ALSO HAVE WARM AIR ASSOCIATED WITH IT BECAUSE OF WHERE IT FORMED. AS THIS LOW

CROSSES OUR FORECAST AREA ON TUESDAY RAIN IS EXPECTED. ALTHOUGH...THIS SYSTEM IS STILL SO FAR OUT IN THE FORECAST THAT THERE IS LOTS OF UNCERTAINTY. AS WE GET CLOSER TO EARLY NEXT WEEK...THE DETAILS WILL BECOME MORE CLEAR"

Possibility that we may see another rain event based on what they are saying there. We would also see some warming too. But there is at least some of a window for snowmaking and more seasonable temperatures than we are currently seeing.

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but the weather is balls bad for us right now.

as to the guy who said that cannon was open. as of yesterday they pushed their opening date back to dec 4th...... so only bretton woods is open now in nh and is like the kid said earlier a joke, i asked the guy at the front desk and even he said dont bother to come up

just checked jay peak... they said dec 4th at earliest. mount snow or okemo wont open tomorrow unless theres a miracle so that leaves killington, bretton, and sunday river. killington said on their website that they wont open on sunday. bretton woods, as said before me, is a joke. and sunday river is open, but its +/- 5 hours up and has 2 trails open. thanks mother nature

sugarloaf is opening tomorrow with sketchy conditions, but they are blowing snow round the clock for the next couple days so it will improve. Rails will be set up during the week!

im up at stowe right now, and they have pretty much full coverage, except for a few spots

moral of the post being they'd better open next weekend!
