East Coast All Mountain Ski?!?!

The situation:

I'm looking for a ski that can handle it all: pow, park, trees, groomers, ice, etc. here on the beast coast. This ski will be the only one in my quiver so I really want something playful and buttery enough to jib with, but fat enough and rockered (at least in the tip and tail) to handle some powder (probably 98-108mm). I ski probably about 30% park, 40% glades/pow, and 30% everything else. Also, I'm relatively small at 5'7" and ~150lbs so would really like to stay away from super stiff planks.

After much research, I've found a few contenders. The ON3P Kartel, K2 Shreditor, and Line Blends are standing out but I'm also looking at the Moment PB&J and the J Skis Allplay (and some others I can't really remember right now).

I also came across the old Rossignol Sickles which I have heard are one of the most versatile and underrated skis out there (for a great price too), but the full rocker and 111mm width are a little intimidating to me coming from a 100% camber and 88mm park ski (Surface Doubletime). I think the Sickles would be great as a single quiver ski out West but I'm skeptical about how it will perform on those super-icy days we have in the East.

Am I on the right track even considering the Sickles? Would love any opinion on the skis listed and or new suggestions.

Im on the Surface double time as well. Great all mtn ski. Lacks in the pow for sure. Kartels everyone raves about feel like you cant go wrong with them.

The double times are great for park and groomers but really kind of suck everywhere else. Extremely stiff and not all that fun in the trees. The kartels seem like they would be a really solid ski but also kind of strike me as not really playful, am I wrong in assuming that?

Blizzard Peacemaker could be exactly what you're looking for. 104 mm, rocker in the tip and tail with camber underfoot, solid wood core, but no metal in them.

I'm 5.7" 165lbs. Been using ON3P Jeffries 106 going on my third year for east coast everything. They absolutely shred, even in the park. Seriously consider them or the Kartels 98/106. They would be my next pair. About the stiffness your worrying about, they are stiff enough to bomb all mountain without worries but have that perfect rocker where its very playful. Skis I've used for comparison: Walls, Anthems, Punx, Filthies and a couple others I can't recall at the moment. Filthies are my next favorite but fell short for me when it came to all mountain fun.

The new Sir Francis Bacon could also be a good choice, definitely worth considering, at least.

Those ON3P's look pretty good, ill definately look into them.

The Bacon's seem iffy to me. I feel like they are more pow than anything and they seem to have mixed reviews, like I could get a better one for a similar price.

Does anyone have experience with the Sickle's?

I was on double times last year and this year i got rossignol slats for the same purpose you are describing. They are perfect. So much fun and they are like the sickles but they have camber and rocker and not as wide. Also you can find them for super cheap as well. Would recommend for sure.

The redesigned bacons are narrower and stiffer than the old ones were, so should perform better in firmer conditions.

Haven't skied the sickle, but everyone I know who has loves them. But, at 111 (i think?) underfoot, they'd be pretty cumbersome in the park.

Again, my highest recommendation would be the Peacemaker from your description of what you want out of the ski. I think you should put it pretty high up your list.

sickles are chill but theres a reason they haven made them for a couple years the tech is now dated and they are pretty heavy but still a great goddamn ski id say too wide for an east coast all mtn ski IMO.

the ON3P Kartel 102s are my number one recommendation

Blizzard Regulators are a skinnier version of the Peacemakers and they absolutely rip. Stable as fuck, playful, snappy, all around best ski I've ever skied

True. If you want to look in the 90-100mm range, op, definitely add regulators to the list as well.

Where at on the east coast? I am looking at for a do it all ski as well, and am really close to pulling the trigger on the Kartel 98. I ski mainly West Virginia, Seven Springs, and Wisp.

Mostly Vermont for me (Jay, Stratton, Smuggs), but also NH and NY (Windham)

I really want the kartel 176 now but thry r mad expensive. I heard they are bombproof though so maybe a good investment for a couple of seasons.

I would recommend the atomic blog. Literally the ski you are describing. I ride mine in every condition. 110 under foot. Rocker tip and tail camber underfoot. Only down fall is they quit making them. But you can still get them online.

Yeah those look about right but if I were going to get older skis that fat I'd go with the rossi sickles and they seem to be out of stock everywhere.

I am primarily East Coast, just picked up the Kartel 106s. Demo'd them last year and they were the part in all conditions.

Up here near Buffalo we actually get deep stuff, but also a lot of typical east coast junk, think the Kartels will be right at home
