Earthquake Predictions....

So - the whole of Rome shit their pants today because self taught Seismologist Rafaele Bandandi (whom died in 1979) had predicted a catastrophic earthquake to strike the city and level it on May 11, 2011.... literally, today people left the city for the day and went to the country because of this...

Strangely - breaking news just now - a large-ish earthquake just struck southern spain, reportedly killing 4......

hmmmmmmm.... who else has read about this?

Joking aside, vibes to those people. Earthquakes are one of those real fears sitting in the back of my mind (I live on a fault line).

still horrible nonetheless.

i looked up the the city of Lorca on google Earth. it's a beautiful town, hopefully the death toll doesn't rise and there is minimal damage done to the structures.

BBC reporting 7 dead now.... so it could rise.

and my comment about it being shallow meant that even though it was relatively small on the richter scale, it's depth means the intensity is still high.

It's just weird being on the same day that Rome was predicted.... well not really - purely coincidental... Rome has about 30 earthquakes a day.... just very small....

It's pretty amazing that someone could predict something so distantly. Any more news on the predicted Ring of Fire earthquakes?
