In North Korea

I feel confident that if South Korea turned out the lights for an hour North Korea would invade in the cover of the darkness. Forget the environment and being green, staying alive comes first.

LOLOL all of the north doesn't have power its always earth hour lolloolol

King Jong Il isn't a ruthless dictator, he just knows what's best for the environment! You go Kim!

Earth hour would be the dumbest idea to come out of all the environmentalist idiots if they didn't already have so many other stupid ideas.

i think everyone knows about global warming but not everyone is aware about how much usless electricity they use up.

I'm going to assume you meant this seriously, in which case I agree and disagree lol.
Anthropogenic global warming is a complete load of shit, the entire idea of humans warming the entire earth is completely fucking ridiculous. However, the earth IS still warming, but its natural and there's not much we can do about it. So I guess you are right, because the phenomenon we know as "global warming" is not actually real.
However, I do prefer to having trees left, and I think that we need to preserve as much natural space as possible. I like clean air, and I like our forests and oceans. I think we can do a better job as custodians of the planet, but I refuse to buy into the bullshit.

and this is what we call common sense. well done. there's a reason why its also widely regarded as climate change. and earth hour really isn't about climate change. as said above, its about being wasteful.

^^^^holy. fucking. shit.

did everybody just see that?

what just happened?

that was a PEACEFUL exchange. those people had slightly differing opinions on a subject, and they shared them with each other without calling one another cunts, posting a meme, or saying that their country's of origin are better than one another.

i have personally never seen something of this nature before in NSG.

bullshit

"Mission, History & Earth Hour 2010

Earth Hour 2010 inspired an estimated one billion people, organizations, corporations and governments to come together and take a strong stance against climate change. Starting in New Zealand and following the sun around the globe, Earth Hour asked everyone to do something quite simple—turn off the lights at 8:30 p.m. local time. Just one hour for an individual, and 24 hours for the whole world.

In the U.S., where the effects of climate change are increasingly apparent, it felt good to vote for action with a light switch, dimming lights at home and watching iconic landmarks from the Las Vegas Strip to the Empire State Building go dark. Here, Earth Hour’s message hit home: We care about this country and want to turn off the lights on dirty air, dangerous dependence on foreign oil and costly climate change impacts; and make a switch to a cleaner, safer and more secure world. "

its about alarmist views of climate change.

"it felt good to vote for action with a light switch, dimming lights at home and watching iconic landmarks from the Las Vegas Strip to the Empire State Building go dark."

That's all it is. It makes people feel good inside. It doesn't have any effect, but make people think they are helping when they arent. You end up using more power when you turn everything off for an hour, then turn it back on. It causes a power surge.
