EARL BALES TERRAIN PARK (Official Update)

Hey NS. I'm the new terrain park coordinator for Earl Bales Ski and Snowboard Centre. Giving everyone an update on our current park status. Alot of people don't even know this hill exists, let alone has a terrain park. The hill itself is quite small in comparison to other Ontario ski hills, but is slightly bigger than centennial, and is located right in the middle of the Toronto (Yonge/401). Its no Blue Mountain or MSLM, but giving the fact that it is less than a 20 minute drive from almost every area withing the GTA, its well worth it. If you have any questions about the hill, hit me up here on NS, I'll also be there quite often (Black Lethal Descent pants, and Level 1 vest), don't hesitate to approach me with suggestions or ideas. Hope to see you soon.

Do you think the park will be open on thursday?

I was there this past thursday and everything was blocked off.

Will there be any rails this year?

The park was closed this past Thursday due to my absence, and no possible coverage(I was in Tremblant). Yes, it will be open this Thursday from 4:00-9:30. I have made a request for a 20 foot barrel rail in early December, still waiting on a response from my supervisor, I'll let you when I do.

Terrain Park Hours:

Monday - Friday: 4:00pm-9:30pm

Saturday: 9:00am-8:00pm

Sunday: 9:00am-6:00pm

seems like a cool place just to dick around. probably a great place for learning.

id def hit it up if I had my license.

Sweet, thanks for this thread. I found the site but it didn't have any details about the park.

I'm just starting out in the park, this looks nice and unintimidating :) Thanks!

its pretty shitty there now

i was there a few days ago to hike all 3 features they have set up

they have a rainbow box, flat box and 5 foot table right now

there is no gap before either of the boxes and when i was there there was some kid just shoveling off the lip of the jump so i told him to fuck off

i was talking to a guy that goes there alot and he said they want to set up a 25-30 foot step up by the end of the season which would make it worth hiking during the week but right now its only good if you are fiending and cant go another day without skiing

is anyone going tomorrow? I'm thinking about going but it depends on what they have set up, i've never been. And how much are lift tickets if anyone knows?

has anyone been of late? i want to go just for an hour or so just to keep active during the week becasue i live all of ten minutes away. Let me know what the set up is like.

thanks

mark

Is there anything decent there, I took a gander at the park few weeks ago, just a rainbow box and a 5 footer, anything else or is still rockin the same setup?

I was up there last week its nothing special...wasn't set up very well they put the rainbow box in a really bad spot especially u could barely get enough speed to make it over.

probably mid march, after the break for the young'on's. Looking like the only spot that still got snow, urban is lookin' pretty dead from here on in...
