Ear gauges

This, I think they look sick on some people, and have been told that I'd look good with them. But I'm not absolutely positive I want them, so I won't get them.

yeah, depends. If you do dont go past 00, thats just looks stupid...00 kinda looks stupid anyway

for your own good dont get them...your going to look fucking stupid regardless of what your friends say and any proffesional job will just laugh at you instantly. There is a reason you rarely if ever see people with those rediculously stupid ear peices

I have gauged ears at 4 gauge. It doesnt effect my personal life in way and I have a very good career. Its a blanket statement to say they will harm the outlook of your life, they will not.

no. Honestly the answer will always be no.

But if you do it and change your mind...

"A procedure of this nature will have to be performed under anesthesia and the procedures can take up to 5 hours. The cost to repair an earlobe of this nature can run anywhere from $1,500 to $3,000 per ear."

I always thought the really small ones looked good. The kind that you can just take out for a job interview and it looks basically normal. My cousin has them and I think they look pretty fly.

Ehhh, my girlfriend did but it wasn't that much bigger than regular earrings. I think bigger than, say an inch or so, is just ridiculous.

You'll turn gay and throw away any possibility of being successful if you stretch your ears, obviously. Don't fight it, I know I'm right.

i am up to 1/2" and i still love them. No, they wont grow back to regular earring size, but they will shrink a ton if i decided to take them out. Ive had them at this size for over a year now and no regrets at all. they havent really affected me in getting a part time job.. only if you work at a big franchise sort of place (starbucks, mcdicks) you'll have a problem getting hired, and that is just because of company policy. i'd say experiment and go up to any size under 0g, cause they will grow back. as long as you stretch properly and dont get scar tissue.

i'm at 3/4 and it's been a year at that size and i've been gauging for 7 years. no regrets. i love it. i sometimes miss not being able to wear girly earrings and looking normal,BUT, i couldn't wear those earrings anyways because of allergic reactions n stuff. so gauges have made my ears happier.

i think it depends where you want to work. gauges where i live don't really matter. the girl at the grocery store has them at over an inch. everyone's pierced tatted or have weird colored hair these days so it's becoming pretty normally and accepted where i live, but yeah some people are still picky. i think if you stay small enough no one will give a shit that your ears are pierced.

if your ears aren't already pierced think about having to do that first. yo don't want to scalpel because that's just dirt. and it depends if you wanna go big or not. then again, i said i'd never go bigger than a 6, then i said a 2, then i said 0, then i said 00, then so on and so forth until the size i'm at. i'm not entirely sure how it works when you have to pierce your ears, but i assume you have to let your ears heal up before you start gauging and go up slowly. but stretching under 00 is easy a fuck. it feels just a little pinch and then you don't even feel it afterwards.

whenever i see someone with big guages I have the urge to grab them and tear them the fuck out of their ears. so no, because you will never win a fight again because you will be crying and bleeding from your ears while they kick your teeth in.

if you get gay-jizz then you are guaranteed to have someone come up and zip-tie something unpleasant to you...just saying...

I personally am not a fan. It kinda weirds me out. Whatever floats your boat though... if you like them, get them. I don't like the idea of having holes bigger than the size of the diameter of a needle in my ears. Regular earrings do the trick for me.

it's not that easy to rip it out. i'd imagine the gauge itself would come out and then the person would be super pissed off you just yanked the fuck out of their ear, therefore, in their fight or flight stage, might kick your ass so hard.

Gauges are ridiculous. Just don't, save yourself money, time and pain. Seriously, who the fuck wants to take time out of their day to do something so pointless?

some say he's a 60 year old man with holes in his ears, and that he reenacts the civil war with snowmen in his backyard. all we know is..

i'm at 2g right now going to 00...for the haters saying it looks stupid eff you. it only looks weird on some people because they have small lobes and big ass gauges so yes...that will look awkward. as for the point of no return...once you start going past 0-00 thats about it. i would personally just start gauging you get to decide when you think it's enough if you don't like it just take them out and they will shrink and you'll be fine. btw bodyartforms.com for cheap stuff and they got poor people gauge packs. =]

You can go 0-00, like said above, and still have your ears naturally go back to normal. And that's a pretty decent size.

i really gotta say. when i was stretching to 3/4 i had a problem with my left ear, as per usual, and it got infected and i had to stop stretching, but i took an old gauge from one of my friends to keep it opened, and i think my ear went down to a 6. pretty tiny. i had must less problems stretching up to the 5/8 again, obviously, but i had to go back up is the point. your ears will likely close, and it depends on how long you've had them for. who knows in 10 years it might be a different story.

i think it really depends on your body past 00. it's good as a general rule that if you want to one day close it up then fine, but i don't know. i'm pretty sure that if i took out my gauges they would definitely close up, obviously not all the way, but to a much much smaller size. my body seems to close up like magic sometimes. it seems to reject piercings and etc, but for some reason i can heal like no other when i take it out. i had a nose ring for 5 months and it closed over night when i lost my jewelery while sleeping. that was a bummer. some people often suggest is stretch up a bit before closing that way your body's reaction will be to shut the hole.

when and if i never want my gauges gone, will be a bridge i'll cross when i get there, and i'm more than certain when i'm 45 i'll be able to put away a couple of grand for surgery if i really need to(provided i hadn't started saving). i'm not really concerned with where i'll be at my life in 30-40 years, and i'm really annoyed with people saying what about when you're old. well fuck do you think? i'll be an old bag with saggy boobs, saggy lobes, and greasy tats. that's not your lifestyle choice, and i respect that, so stop asking such stupid questions. as if i didn't spend 3 years before actually getting inked, and even as much i had wanted a tattoo since i was a small child. go figure i'd one day get one. every decision i made about my body was made over a course of time, and i chose to be the way i am, and i'm not going to bitch about it later, because fact is, that would make me a shitty individual. i value integrity. and life is about living.

amen to that. funny thing is i also ripped my ear but it was at 6g...i was too impatient with slowly gauging and just pushed the taper through. bloody ear is no fun.

yeah i've never used a taper, it just looks evil. i just used to have like a bunch of weird shit in my ears, and used straws and stuff. lol. apparently plumbers tape is a good alternative. you just wrap a bit of it around your gauge every week or so. it's like 50c for a roll.

always thought about doing it. I have to wait till may when i graduate, my schools gay with that stuff

Don't do it.

I thought i was sweet in highschool with 0's then once i graduate i decided to take them out ... needless to say my ears still look like shit..I try to wear regular ear rings 2 or 3 years later and they usually don't work they either fall out or fall though the hole ..
