i know i posted this in 'ski gabber' but i realized this is the better place for it.. so sorry.

last night i was ridign and i cracked my tip of my dynastar concept completely in half, where there is a piece of it hanging off. theyre clearly not ridable, and i bought them lats summer, so this is my first season on them. does nayone have any experience with dynastar and knows how their warranty is, and if theyll replace my skis for me?

cause my friend landed on a rock and put a hole in his 2001/ 2002 line 1260s and linegave him brand new 2002/ 2003 line mike nicks. please help.

just go back to where you got them and say these suck and they sould replace them and give you a new pair that way you dont have to talk to the company... the same thing happened to me with dynastar and thats what i did and it worked out good

Hmmmmm... I bought mine over the phone, factory direct, and I'm having some serious problems, and I'm just going to call Dynastar about it.

ya i got my candides and p12's from the rep deal directly from dynastar. I snapped off a peice of my binding falling off a rail. All I had to do was bring them to a ski shop, bring the receipt that dynastar sent you when u when u got the skis. The ski shop sends em out, and then u just pick em up there, gotta pay for the shipping and the remounting obviously, hope that helps. Hopefully they will warranty them though if they are from last year, im sure they will

Well, I have only skied my Candides about 5-10 times and they are showing a ton of stress cracks running up and down the ski. They still ski great, and the cracks are below the topsheet(you can't feel the cracks when you run your finger over them). I was wondering if this is normal for this ski, or if this will lead to problems where I might need to warrenty the ski. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd wait until it messes up how they ride before you send them. That has happened to almost every ski I've taken big airs with, and it has never really effected the ski at all. You don't want to be without those things if you don;t need to.

Cool, so it shouldn't be a problem until the it actually effects the ski?

yeah, me too I was wondering about the warrenty, because, my edge crack on a rail, but I bought them use, they are the concept from last year, is there any solution

two things - stress cracks in the topsheet are no big deal - it's just cosmetic damage. You will probably never notice it while skiing. IF it becomes a problem - then send it in.

IF you broke an edge on a rail, well that is your own damn fault. Don't send it to the maufacturer - it is a waste of their time and it ends up making skis more expensive for everyone so they can cover their wasted time. Learn how to repair it. I've seen some pretty good suggestions on edge repair on this board.

I agree with dyna-dogg...the stress cracks are only cosmetic. I have a few in my Candides as well. Last year I got some in my Bandits, and I complained to Rossignol (I believe the topsheets are very similar). Rossignol told me then that the cracks were only cosmetic, and should not be a problem. They were right, The cracks were never an issue.

OK, thanks a lot. I was getting worried, because everytime I ski I keep getting more and more little cracks. As long as they are just cosmetic, everything is just fine.
