Dynafit

So, does anyone on NS use dynafits?

I'm switching over this season. I've heard tons of positive feedback from all the people I know that use them.

Thoughts?

I wish I could justify buying a pair. but I just got Dukes (switched from Fritschi) and don't want to put plates on seeing as I'm already 6'5'' and don't need any more lift to my setup.

Plum guides have gotten good reviews but I've never heard a bad thing about Dynafit either and they're much cheaper..

ive got dynafits and just picked up some plums. i have had dynafits for 3 seasons, and they are killing it still but i cant wait to get on the plums. just make sure u get some good boots!

you're not gonna find a tech binding that has a DIN over 12. yet...

that being said, you can actually lock the toes in and never come out.

Like 11,000' of mt. hood when you're on a 40 degree slope that is super hard chalky snow. I couldn't believe this bozo didn't lock his dynafits out. I was the last one to ski down that down and was able to gather his gear. Otherwise he would've had a fun hike up 500' vertical to retrieve his stuff.

Plum does look pretty sick, but im still skeptical. nobody has actually skied it. ill stick with the radicals until they have some people blow up the plums and give more honest feedback

A couple preeminent ski mountaineers here in washington (they don't ski in washington obv) and they raved about the plum guides. When I'm not on mobile i'll find the review. If they weren't so expensive i'd get a pair. Speed radicals for me :(. But dynafits are tried and true. Keep in mind a speed weighs nothing, so with some heavy duty skiing you could wreck them. Solid for longer tours or anytime weight is a big concern FT would be a better option for really spicy, hard charging shit

for me it was a choice between the radical ft or the plum. the new brand scares me a little, dont want to hop on that bandwagon just yet!
