Dying silver FT tongues black?

So i want some softer tongues for my FT's and am thinking about getting #2 flex. FT only makes the #2 flex in silver. Will i be able to dye the silver black?

Also do you guys think the #2 will be too soft? should i just go with the #4? I have the classics btw...
 
im not sure about the dying honestly but im 145 pounds and i used a 4 flex for a few days and got hella shinbang just because the boot couldnt hold my weight when i did cliffs or jumps or anything a 2 would be worse i use an 8 for all mountain and thats where its at
 
really? i have a 6 now and am getting bad shinbang. the boots are fitted and everything im just thinking a 2 will be the best for park? the 6 is good for mountain but i get bad bang in park and landin backseat
