Dying Crowbars?

Ok so I was thinking about buying the terje crowbar set up for very cheap from a friend. This is the gray frame and riggers.

If I tried dying the crowbars black, how would they turn out?

i'm thinking it wouldn't work out that well...because dyes usually only work really good on cotton from my experiences....give it a shot though

Well I have experience from dying lacrosse heads. You cant die it back, dont even try it, it will make it look really bad. For dying the head use RIT dye which you can find from walgreens. If you mess up the dye somehow you could always just Get black RIT dye and dye it completely black since black dyes over anything...good luck!

Im also thinking about dying mine. Does this mythical rit dye work on the strap as well?

i dyed mine from brown to purple. it worked out great. i just got 3 packs of powdered purple rit dye and put it in 6 cups of boiling water. i turned the heat off then put the frame in for about 2 minutes. i kept checking them. then i let them dry and now i have purple goggles. i can post before and after pics if you want

I died a pair of mine from blue to black using three packs of rit dye. It started to fade to green after about half a season so I sanded them down. Hit them with a coat of primer and then spray painted them black and that worked really well also.

thats pretty sick! may sound dumb, but the dye doesnt like rub out of the foam and onto your face does it?
