Hey I'm going to school down in Durango next year and I was wondering if any of you are from down there or have skied down there much, and what you thought of the skiing? Any park at Purgatory or anything?Â
DMR has a park, its not the best but not the worst either. Wolf Creek and silverton will give you your powder fix, and both are with in two hours of Durango. You can head over to Hesperus at night to make some laps to.
I'm going to Fort Lewis next year as well. I heard that there is a cheap pass you can get as a freshman and that there is a really cheap one for telluride, anyone know anything about pass prices?
ive lived here all my life. its pretty legit. Ive been planing to go to the fort for collage but this year they raised there admission standards by something like 130% which kinda fucked me.
i guarantee you can get in if i got in. i did so bad at u of utah and transferred over to ft lewis with a 2.3 so their standards are pretty low. ill be there in the fall
Skiing is no issue here. The BC is phat and there are a handful of mountains you can go to. Purg is the most social (meaning you end up meeting most of your friends on the hill). Silverton is sick. And the really small areas close to town (Chapman and Hesperus) are nice if you wanna hit some rails after school/work.
durango is way fun. its not the best place to be if your always in the park but you can always drive to telluride, about 2 hours and the passes for college students arent much more than 200 iim pretty sure.
not trying to hate on your name or anything, but repping 970 is like repping half of colorado. if you said im from the 970 you could be referring to durango, montrose, crested butte, or any place in between and around. but 970 is legit and durango is a tight place.
kinda random but whatever
do you know a kid named taylor aka bert aka hippy?
