Durable park/urban ski

So i'm looking for a park ski that I will use for urban (i'll buy the ski used or new a few seasons back) cos shredding at night with my 98 underfoot is a bit annoying plus they're already getting pretty beaten up after a few rails (faction prodigy).

I'll also do some park with it when i decide to have a big rail day (others ill use my factions, so let's say the ski will do 50/50 urban and park)

So I need a strong durable ski that's good at rails, I'm willing to go up to 550$ if i really need to but i'm looking for quite cheaper hopefully. I don't wanna get a beat up pair for very cheap that will hold half of the season and not do even well in the park either.

I know on3p is super durable (I'm only looking at presters, i think the fr would be too flexy and wide) i think i could find last seasons at an alright price, but I'm not sure how they ride, seeing as they have no camber?

Anyway, i need some help !

I heard da'nollie is pretty good and icelantic has some pretty bomb proof skis, but is it quite buttery? If so I'm looking at a bit more stable for reference if you know the ski.

I'm also looking into these, rockered and I think 95 underfoot so maybe too wide for you. I looked at them in the shop and these have some good snap and enough camber underfoot to pop pretty good. They guy at the shop told me he's been riding a pair of older da nollies and they are pretty durable according to him. Probably too soft for you but maybe punx since you want a stiffer ski, pipe cleaner? Ps, I'm probably going to buy da nollies

I have a like new pair of last years volkl walls 185cm (the green blue and yellow ones) and I'm willing to sell.

hmm, thanks but 185 might be too big for me, more looking into a 170-178 ski.

Yeah, the atla, ctics are at a pretty good price but its cheaper to get the punx, so i dunno, i think the icela, roc might be too oo buttery.

Atomic infamous, great urban ski, very durable and can get the 2014 version for cheap

I f i have to choose between the puns and infamguoun §(yeh puns are cheaper and I'm pretty sure they're l'ess buttery. So unless the infamous are more durable throwing a lot of urban at em I'd go with the puns if those 2 were my only otpins.

K2 Recoil. I have the 11/12 version and I love them. A little on the stiff and heavy side but they're pretty bomb proof.

Im' looking for a stiff ski so these might do well. u used em during urban?? i could get those

fuck dub reply...ns came up with some "u are unothorized to reply with this thread " shit i dunnno what happened...

K2s are always a good bet if you want something bombproof. I can also tell you that Amplid skis are durable af, as well as light and stable

Go for some revision skiis. They have full length carbon stingers, poplar core etc., and are awesome, ask sam zahner. IF you buy them before monday with code "sam14" you can get them for 180 DOLLARS FREE SHIPPING when they are regularly 500 DOLLARS. They have 2 skis, a powder/ freestyle ski and a groomer/freestyle ski.

K2 Recoils are really good for urban, Super durable and they are pretty stiff, like you are looking for. However they are really heavy compared to some skis but I love them

Don't put a brand new ski into urban. Presters were released last year, so even though they are the best full camber park ski ON3P has ever made, I think there's a snowballs chance in hell of finding a used pair for sale in condition worthy of urban-ing. Go with something mass produced grand used for urban, buy a new set of Presters and retire them eventually to this use.

I haven't used them for urban... yet. But they do slay rails like hell. I'm not quite sure what it is about that ski but it's my favorite park ski.

I would definitely go with the recoil. For urban you want a bombproof ski. Plus, they are pretty cheap right now.

For urban I would just buy cheap second hand skis. Just about every ski no matter how durable will get destroyed with urban. If your hitting rough concrete trannies and lots of urban rails no ski will survive for long so just buy a cheap second hand ski and use it until it is completely unrideable and then once that pair is done buy another cheap second hand pair.

Thanks for all the answers!

I wont quote cos too long but here's what i think:

-Surface blanks are not durable enough

-infamous not durable enough

-presters too expensive, as vader said i couldnt find any second hand

-revisions are too wide (im looking more at 90 and under underfoot)

-k2 recoils. Now a lot of you said a lot of goods things about it, but it is quite wide and heavy, so it would just end up being a stiff, slightly thinner version of my current pair, but more durable. I think i wanna go thinner than that.

So im left with atomic punx, havent heard a lot about them, i anyone knows do tell :)

The majesty rocknrolla, i can defo find a cheaper new pair but it seems theyd be very good, since they were made for urban.

The amplids provoke, again, bit expensive but they seem really good too.

None of you mentionned the rossignol scratch, i know they're nice relatively stiff park skis (rode them for a day) but dunno bout their durability, anyone knows?

Any more advice on my current options are greatly welcomed!

Where are you ordering to? Check-out our outlet at www.amplid.com and you'll find some good deals while we still have some of last year's skis in stock.

Provokes & Antidogmas sound like the kind of ski you're describing.

The Recoil really isn’t that heavy. If your not a stick you’ll be fine on it. The 13/14 season punx have a completely different design than from years before. They are lighter than the recoils but not by much. You want a medium to stiff ski for urban at least thats what I would want.

The new Da'nollie is wider and rockered, but last years was 88mm underfoot (im pretty sure) and full camber, fully symmetrical. I have last years and ride just about every day in the winter, and they have held up very well for me. They soften up a good bit but stay really snappy.
