You kill it so hard behind the lens. From recent JOSS edits to everything you do. Way to keep it fresh. much respect.

are you looking through your viewfinder when doing the follow cam or not. it is incredible how you've gotten so good at keeping the guys smack center of the frame in the air.

Thanks guys. I use the LCD screen now when doing follows because I don't use a wide angle at all for follows anymore (since the beginning of the year). It's kind of sketchy when rolling over big ass knuckles completely blind as you might imagine.

are you already filming for someone at JOSS? because u would be sick to rep team NS. not that it's up to us

Agreed. Duncan's edits are my favorite to watch out of any crew/filmer on NS. Especially when he's shooting Montage. He NEEDS to be on team NS for JOSS.

dang, I can NEVER see my LCD when i try to do followcams on those bluebird days. Must be included in that whole 4000 dollar camera over my dvc30

follows are soo smooth its gotta be either magic fingers or a professional chest mounted stabilizer.

I think with all the new edits lately and the quality of them that he should defenitly be a filmer at JOSS. I dont think any other filmer is close to where he is at...

He probably just doesn't use it, i NEVER use my LCD on follows unless im doing some wacky glidecam shot which ive just recently have started to try. You shouldn't have to look at your LCD when you do follow cams tho, just practice and you'll learn to know exactly where to aim.

To be honest, i kind of miss the wide angle shots. I like your new style, but it would be dope if you still mixed in a wide angle shot every now and then

Really? damn that does sound kinda sketch, i suppose ignore my earlier post. Non wide shots do look real nice sometimes, but i like the look of both.

I like both but honestly once I started doing them without the wide I've no desire to go back, the picture quality is just so much better. I've been thinking about getting a slightly narrower wide but I've just been fuckin with some ideas this year with the stock lens.
You have to use the LCD screen when not using a wide angle if you want to have close up shots. Plus with zooming on follows, the LCD is crucial. I never used to use it ever when I used the wide but that's because its like shooting fish in a barrel, with the standard lens you are forced to be critical of framing, it's really easy to miss a shot if your not paying attention to the screen.

Seeing as almost all of the top contenders for going to JOSS had their edits made by Duncan, I think its safe to say that he will be rewarded with a filming spot
