Dumont's two 12s

Powder online has an article saying he could beat Tanner because he has two 12s in his run. He can't possibly have two different 12s, right? Is he just swapping out the 9 from last year with a second 12? If so, lame.

Also, what's Jon's hiding about Dumont's pipe run? He doesn't want to talk about something at the end of the second X halfpipe blog post. They were about to say something about his run (and doing hand signals). Was that about him not grabbing?

It would be interesting if he could spin 12s both ways huh? Or maybe and alleyoop 12. Crazy. As long as he boosts one out on his first or second hit so he has the height to really grab that bitch.

it would be a big improvement to have a unnaty 12 in his run when he only had somthing like 1 unnatural hit in his run last year. anyway it would be hard to put some stezze in so much spin.

i took the whole Jon's video thing calling dumont a little sketchy when he spins, like he spins like a top.

I still say tanner takes it.

i dont think dumont can even do unnaty 9, thats what his pipe run lacks to beat tanner. and from what i saw it doesnt look like hes learned many new tricks.

the powder article makes it sound like tanner is the safe bet. andreas seems to think so too. although you've got to wonder about a possible dark horse with a double-flip. a no grab whiskey won't do it, but if jossi or someone else can do a double-cork 10, i could see an upset happening.

dumonts 12 in the pipe were pretty ugly i thought....if he could get higher and spin a tad slower and grab then i think they would be okay...but i dont see how he can get much higher...

Remember this is practice and its like 3 seconds on each skier. I am going to say you will see a lot more from everyone during the comp.

If dumont does indeed have 2 12s in his run it'll be alleyoop 12 not right 12. I've never see him spin more than right 5 in the pipe and he always goes about 1/3 the height of his first hit on it.

I think by next year we may see back to back 12s though, I wanna work that anyways

probably alley opp flat 12

yea jon was pobably talking about simons no grabbers inhis bugspins.

I say lets wait to see what riddle have to show before amkiing any bets.

is it just me or doing a backscratcher and touching your skis seems to be concidered as a tail grab now???

anyway props to everyone for doing different stuff in the pipe. I like seing how different pipe style areout there. the smooth tech stuff from tanner, the crazy grabs and tech runs from riddles, dubs from peter and big spins from simon. It's great to see people not doing the same stuff like they did ion the past years.

I may dont like all these runs and have a different opinion then the judges but damn pipe skiing is getting so much more fun to check now, nopt just the same runs from everyone with different grabs and amplitude.

12 to unnaty 12 would be pretty sick, dumont needs to toss more switch stuff to win, i could see jossi winning, hes so stylish

knowing dumont he will probably do a shitty 12 no grab to alley-oop 5 with a shitty grab to shitty 12 with no grab, again.... that's his two 12s for ya.

I dug the flat 3s tat tanner and jon were doing in that vidid rather see those and some tech switch stuff than who goes biggest and spin the most

yep tanner will win because he isn't trying to spin to win, he will spin unatural and do technical grabs to win not try to do regular 12s. and tanner is gonna do way better switch stuff which is very steezy.

I think peter has something to prove. I like him in the pipe. Tanner is going to win he has tons of experience and was super smooth in practice. Simon goes bigger than anyone and has a who sack pack of tricks.

But you guys already know that.

I can't decide on my free ride team though.

Go Peter O! I want Peter to win something at least, with how stylish the whiskey flip is looking, I think that he should win. But, Tanner's flat 3's are SOOOOOOO sick.

I want Peter to win!! I have no hate for Simon and Tanner, it's just that kinda knowing him from HN makes me want him to win moreso than the others. His whiskey flip is getting really sick, and I think that this is a perfect chance to prove that an alcoholic can be a winner too!

defenitely

however i do not like simons run at all.., his second hit is BRUTAL.. way smaller and the grab is hiteous its got no style its just a grab for the sake of grabbing and dont get me started on his 12's.. tanners run flows so well its not even funny and ridle is gonna pull some sick shit im sure FTW! or close... i cant wait for everyone to see haywards 12 then see simons..

a little bird told me that he hasnt been working on pipe as much as he should be...although the bird may be retarded
